It sounds like you can handle the kill teams, based on that... other than losing that warrior, how close was it?
In any event, I'm tempted to suggest that it could be worth running a slightly less tight farmer's gambit if you don't think you're likely to be in the crosshairs because the orcs are grabbing Ravus's attention. Yes, that sounds oxymoronic, but, well, it also sounds like the barbarians (big, strong, dumb) are a bigger threat than anyone who might fight smart.
Actually, my largely baseless suggestion amounts to thinking that perhaps Priesthood could be in order before Govannon... although, with passive exp gain, you might want him as early as you can anyway to get spheres on him. Well, you're the one actually playing the turns, so you probably have a better sense of what's actually needed.
