Yes, exactly. I just wanted to make an "in order" clue and googled for words with alphabetical spelling. There are some much more common 6-letter words with the same property but since aegilops also had a nice anagram I rolled with that.

I've been challenging myself to create some "& lit." clues. They are by nature a bit easier to solve, so to compensate for that I'm not listing the number of letters in the answers.
