yes, thomas bruce haha

actually told by others that they are my natural expansion point as on same water as my stone. thats my galley snooping about haha

*also reminded me to play the turn

well ... i'd argue that natural expansion point would be Marble to the NE rather than to the SW ... in that case i stole from bRick but given that he barely had a city on that water by the time i expanded there ... well

By the way, I am back and playing turns and catching up on the happenings again so Hello. :P

So Azza, I see that our NAP is expiring in the next turn, would you up up for another extension on that, say another 20 turns?
Reply

I will extend our NAP if you gift me Serinity Valley. You've seen the damage I've done to Sian's position, are you willing to risk it happening to you too?

I have seen the damage; however, not only were you also damaged in turn, but I know about your stack and can count distance well enough to see that I have time to prepare. I do already have a Cho-Ko-Nu force and can make plenty more to repel any attack coming my way. An opportunity to build XP would be nice, and while I might lose something out of it in the long run you stand to lose a lot more.

I will not gift you a city, but I re-extend a normal NAP extension offer.

If you chose to go to war here and now, every hammer you'd be forced to spend on military would be a hammer that slowcheetah, MusicMan and Sian will spend on infrastructure. What have I got to lose? Maybe 2nd place, if I'm lucky. Signing a NAP only allows you to further your economic development, and most likely leaves me wallowing behind. I merely request something that reduces the margin to something more manageable, from my point of view.

I guess what it boils down to, is whether you're willing to risk blowing a winning position as a matter of principal, or whether you're willing to compromise to maintain a strong position overall?
