Alright I logged in and we had a cease fire option:
Thanks to the absurdities of MP diplo, we cannot take a look around before deciding on that offer. So I closed the window and I was greeted with another offer - this time of the 10-turn peace treaty. Did the same thing. I saw Brick moved about an hour before I got back to my computer (
) so I saw what I expected:
Worst possible thing to see. This likely means his warrior and worker sat on the forest 1N of farmed corn and then he double-moved by scurrying the worker south and the warrior into the city. Oh well. With his weird schedule I don't really suspect at all it was in bad faith, but it's still annoying and we still reserve the right to be annoyed
. Seriously, if we would've gotten in first we could've gone with either a 20% roll on the cap or a slightly better roll on a warrior + worker. Anyways, so we mulled over peace or moving on. Decided to move:
Well I want to slow him down so we're going to remain at war for the moment. Really, I'd like to chase his worker and prevent him from chopping for awhile. It should be noted he's working the plains forest hill 0/3/0 rather than the farmed corn 5/0/0. So he's max hammer-ing out a warrior? Seems like a weird decision honestly. So we'll have to be alert about that. I sure hope he doesn't go for archery or something lame like that. We could deal with it easily (we have copper), but it'd just be annoying.
Our main thing is we'd like to know if he has copper. We'll see. Settler started last turn:
Working the improved pigs now for a cool 6/0/0. Moved settler onto the forest 3 of the capital - chopping will start next turn. I chose that forest as it allows us to mine the copper if we want next - gives us more options. Can't hook it though as we don't have Wheel quite yet.
