Well, I had ivory close by and a few other later happy resources too, I think. Maybe even gold. But my land was really lacking on food outside my capital, with most of the next city having water resources.

I was about to get a size 8 Capital, but being at 2 cities, i'm not so sure if that was good play or not. Maybe with time my happy advantage would overcome my bad play (well, I don't think I played so bad - I think plains hill starts are imbalanced and the AGR Civs were expected to have a way faster opening than mine).

It lets you get through a game much quicker, and if you do a mirrored map, it can make the comparison/contrast between the traits much more interesting.

I definitely think a few duels would help, though I'm also up for another larger game (or making a map for one).

Duels should actually be unusually helpful for testing this mod because the military traits are removed rather than powered up. But I think I'll need to make a few civ nerfs. I think Egypt/Zulu/Sumeria/Mali are a bit overpowered, at least.

Yeah, I agree.

Sorry for disrupting any enjoyment, guys. Good game. Any comments on balance from the part of the game we played?

I've been looking at CHA longingly all game. But I don't know how much of that is not having any happiness resources vs the trait being too good.

Was a bit early for CHA to matter for me besides I didn't even think at all about the whip unhappy. Which is something. Possibly a large something, I just didn't think at the time about whether or not I could make the same whips without it. I'll post a giant retroactive report-post in my thread sometime today.
