Not sure about Fa. She is forced for a couple of chapters that have a unusually low deployment limit, so that might be it. We can make her draftable though, those chapters (to avoid giving spoilers) aren't much tougher without her.

I don't have any particular objection to Fa being free, I was just confused to see her there. Being forced on small-party maps sounds like a plausible reason, and I'll defer to the more experienced FE6 player on whether to throw her into the draft.

On second thought, I don't think she needs to be free. IIRC, that map isn't so tough that losing a deployment slot to her would be a noticeable disadvantage.

I feel like having an "if all else fails" option is a good idea, especially one with limited uses. We want to make sure everyone finishes, right? FE6 is certainly the hardest of the GBA FEs, because of the moving reinforcements, generally bad characters, and awful lord. Then again, I've never played it, just read LPs of it

I would join, but there is the issue of obtaining the game (as well as my awful experience gaming lately; I don't think I want to add a FE to that pile of misery ). One thing I will note is that there are two different translation patches out there: the original one and one that tries to be more accurate (both in terms of general translation, as well as matching names to Awakening).

Personally, I don't consider Fa to be very good at being an endgame crutch unit. The way FE6 is structured, if you make it to the last few chapters you're more than capable of completing them, especially on Normal mode (which I think is what we should play on). There's quite a few good characters in FE6, it's just that there's so many of them you have a lot more stinkers too.

I myself was going to use the newer translation patch; it fixes some graphical errors from the old patch, and I like the writing in it better. Of course either one is fine to use, they're exactly the same gamepley-wise.
