Corinth was probably size 3 already and Thebes was definetely size 2.

Of course not, but I doubt I can reach music first while wasting the 80 gold needed to upgrade a phalanx, so i'd have to make a choice on that... Maybe if I go to music through Drama I could use a theater for 2 artists... Or, I just stop being stupid, go for Code of Laws and use caste system for a GArt. Thanks, TBS, you made me realize this new possibility. goodjob

Thanks. Since we are probably going to be in a war, I prefer that a teammate plays it, since it's hard to put a general lurker in that position. But if retep can't do it, I appreciate the help and will leave instructions.

Well, you must be a new arrival.

I'm Andre, of Astora.

Most weapons and armour are mighty sturdy indeed.

But every hunk of metal has its breaking point (including vultures).

The nice thing about weapons… they never betray you.

So, pay them a little respect, eh?

Dtay settled on flatland, my friends! What on earth is he thinking, I wonder. There's really no chance for that city to survive in the long run, when I can punch it from inside my borders with 2 movers... I really wonder what dtay is thinking, perhaps that my inactivity would lead me to ignore it and hole up in my corner? Can't fault him for such a thought.

Well, I'll try to break that city. 4 phalanxes should be enough, considering I get 65% odds on an unfortified vulture. I doubt dtay will get more than 2 vultures there by the time I can attack with 4, especially considering he didn't even whip this last turn. As you can see, I'm producing a settler in Anor Londo, which I can whip in three turns, to fill the land that I'll try to free from dtay's hands.

I'll waste 80 gold on a warrior -> phalanx upgrade. Quite a harsh investment, but I think securing (or trying to secure) a better geopolitical situation is worth all this gold. Let's ask Andre of Astora to ascend the warrior weapons, then!

As you've noticed, this land is flush with the mad and wicked.
You won't make it through the night without employing my services!
Hah hah hah!

I'm not the best when reading graphs, but this one says three things:

1. Holy farmer's gambit, dtay. I'm low on units to secure 5/6 cities, you have 8 and less power than I do!
2. Molach will likely attack AT, who settled on his face (Molach actually has a dun in his Capital, if I see things correctly!).
3. AT realized number 2.

There's a settler moving towards the horse site. I really need horses now that I'm getting dtay really mad, to have more options. It's not the best city, because it needs a monument to get any sort of decent food, but I guess I can work horses and iron at size 2 for some time. I hope I can also get that barb city, it'd do wonders for my snowball... Free settler for the win! But it's still soon to wonder about it, no size 2 yet. Hopefully Molach keeps busy with AT and leave the poor hollows (barbs) alone.

Hah, hah, hah, hah.

It's too bad the Odeon doesn't have the spec slots anymore.

Two updates in a row??!?? [Image: OxfEvK8.gif] I think I root for y'all to get in a war all the time...

By the way, there's an hour left on the clock. I saw you logged in for 16 minutes but didn't end turn. Need anyone to play?

Oh really? That's too bad. It's just the culture + xp + happiness now?

Good day! You look reasonably sane!
What are you doing in this thread?
Ohhh, I know what it is. You've come for the reports, haven't you?
Well whatever it is…
This place is treacherous. Do watch your step.
Heh heh heh…

I'm Trusty Patches, the one and only!
Oh right, you came at the perfect time.
There's a fine stash of treasure right down the map.
I found it first, but…well, we're friends now. I'll split it with you!
In any case, have a look, it'll shimmer you blind!
Heh heh heh…

You are right, Patches. If Molach and AT have a go with each other, we can later profit by taking all the trinkets for us from their hollowed bodies. Nice plan! But we have to take care of dtay first...

…Oh, dtay, I…
Let's just calm down. Talk about things…
I did you wrong. But, I didn't mean it.
These temptations, they can, well, overcome me…
You know what I mean? Don't you? Please forgive me.
You and me, we're jolly Undead outcasts, aren't we?

Yeah... Invasion plans are looking more grim than before this turn... I have 75% odds on a chariot and a chariot doesn't have odds against me. But I think dtay can upgrade the warrior to a vulture, giving him 2 favourable battles (only 5% of fortify made the vulture go from a 62% battle to a 50% battle...) against 2 unfavourable... I just can't risk that much. And I moved my scout warrior after I already wasted 80g on a upgrade to a phalanx... Stupid me.

This made me really depressed, because I felt like I couldn't do anything. So I decided to put my head in the right place and not be depressed by a game. And I decided to have fun with it. So, if I'll build some chariots when I connect horses to further pester dtay, but I'll hold off the phalanx attack for now. And I'll go for drama, I'll build a theater, I'll get a GArt and I'll either get the Music GArt through a bulb or I'll bomb his city with the artist, if the other prize is already taken. Or perhaps I'll go for construction. But one thing is certain, I'll get that city for me, one way or the other!

Really, the odeon nerf owned me here. I could go for both this plans if it wasn't for it... Now I have to choose one.

My dear lurker friend who will play the turns, I can't leave detailed explanations, I'm sorry about that. Whatever you do is fine, but here's the general guidelines.

Ask dtay for peace.

Leave 100% gold on the slider.

The settler from Anor Londo goes 2S of that forested copper, if you get peace with dtay. If not, go for that plains hill spot 1N of the wheat and near the oasis. Try to move the phalanx in the middle of the empire there, even if you need to delay things.

The settler from Firelink goes north, to the Undead Asylum sign.

The settler already up settles on the plains hill near horses. The worker on the forest roads, the other start pasturing the horses. The phalanx there escorts the city. When the city seems safe, move him to the barb city and start pucnhing the barb warriors.

Again, whatever you do is fine. Feel free to make whatever.

Peace! I'll be back on monday. Most likely no internet until then.

T74.

Peace with dtay! Here's what he had on hand:

You weren't gonna crack it, I don't think.

I settled the horse city (roading first, like a boss, so you get the trade route instantly...).

I started playing T75 as well, when one of the first units I moved I realized was a mistake. I saw the barb city was now size 2, and moved your phalanx down to eat it... when I noticed a barb warrior had suddenly appeared on your borders on the interturn. frown Arrghh! This is why I shouldn't play at 5am. However, not all is lost. I moved the roading worker down T75 to make another road. If you're last to play T76, which you will be because at the very least I can cover you, since this is my mistake, you can double-move the barb with the phalanx to cover the city. So very sorry about this.
