[Spoilers] Pindicator accepts his fate

Turn 029
Some more evidence for that theory: it looks like Stardoor has a connection to that area to our east as well. Potentially. ![]() Not sure exactly where this scout is going next, but this is more early scouting than I've gotten in my last 3 games combined. Also, nobody else has yet to lay down a 2nd city. Expecting ones any turn now from gsorel, Nyles, and Borsche. Everyone else grew to 3 or 4 first. Speaking of our neighbor: ![]() Settler overflow looks like it went into a 2nd warrior. Also, StarDoor has met another neighbor; he only has 2 EP put into us this turn. C&D Nada. Just us growing to 3 in the capital. Speaking of which, the new citizen worked a pfh tile instead of the corn. The 3h overflow from our warrior will be just enough to cut the worker build by a turn. Still trying to figure out the worker micro for getting the next city up. I mean, I have something down, but I don't like it much. My big dilemma is either to prioritize hooking up the horses ASAP by bringing both workers to the southeast and Karego-At has to build it's own worker to get food tiles going, or just using one for the horses and keeping the worker up by Karego-At.

Turn 030
Looks like the lion was to blame for Nyles' delay in city #2: Last turn I was wondering if there was any reason why I should move the warrior away from my second city; I suppose I could have tried to mess with him planting on that plains hill. Now I'm starting to wish I had moved him. We did have warrior #2 finish at the capital this last turn. I moved it along the road towards Karego-At. My plan is to keep it halfway between the two cities until it becomes time to cover the worker as it roads towards city #3. Speaking of worker turns, now that we have a road connecting the two cities I moved my worker onto the plains hill and started a road. We'll finish that road next turn (t31) and then move onto the plains hill deer (t32) right before borders pop at Karego-At. Camp the deer (t36), and then move back to the plains hill and finish building the mine (t38) that the next worker will start. Then I have 3 turns that I don't know what to do with this worker (t39-41) until it needs to be back at the capital (t42) so it can get that horse pasture up and running ASAP once city #3 is settled. I'll probably pick a tile that looks like it could use a road. Just started building our second worker at the capital and it will be done in 4 turns (t33). That worker will move to the plains hill we're roading now and put 2 turns into a mine (t35), but that's all the time we have until we need to start building the road towards the horse city. We move to the capital (t36), then road the corn (t38), road east of the corn (t40), and road the horses (t42). Settler is due out of the capital eot41, moves t42, and settles t43. Now this will get the horses up as quick as possible. It doesn't do crap for developing city #2, so I think I'm going to build a worker out of this city as soon as this archer finishes. That gets us a 3rd worker finishing end of t42. Which can be used to chop out chariots or develop tiles, depending on what's needed. C&D

If you really want 100% least-time horses, settling on the horses is valid.
I can only say thumbs up. That lion was helpful; there's a reason we turn off barbarians in most duels. And make no mistake, this is entirely a duel. Until the Aztecs are eating curry under the brown banners of India, there is nothing but war*. *defacto, if not dejure

Turn 031
I'm confused ![]() Did we just psych him out from planting there? Or maybe more barbs are in the area and caused him to retreat? I noticed they waited until the very end to play - either wanting to get behind wetbandit in a turn split, or more likely, hoping to double move a barbarian unit. But a barb doesn't make sense either; in that case just plant your city and you're safe. C&D

I missed the score increase for DTG/picklepikkl. And I also forgot to check the Events last turn:
![]() Definitely was DTG/picklepikkl who landed Buddhism. Stardoor is the only other person with Mysticism who grabbed a tech, and you can see he just revolted to Slavery, so his tech was definitely BW.

Okay, no longer confused. Can you spot it? ![]() It's not easy to spot on this resolution. The plains forest hill that we had expected Nyles to plant on now has a yield of 4h. To be honest, I think that's an awful place to put copper on a map. What if we had opted for a more southernly 2nd city? (Or perhaps there will be a copper under Karego-At to make up for things, but still.) Just as awful, I think is Nyles' decision to not plant on top of the copper. That is an excellent city location; he could have been pushing axes on us as soon as he had connected his city to his capital. Now he's going to have to take an extra 9 worker-turns to get the copper hooked up. And we'll get to see it happen. Also sad for Nyles is his warrior will move towards our city when he plays on the 2nd half of the turn; then at the end of the turn the borders are going to pop and that warrior will go right by where he started. C&D Lots of new cities. Nyles, Borsche, and StarDoor all planted their 2nd cities on t31. And already on t32 we've had gsorel & Nicolae Carpathia adding their own 2nd cities. Borsche also finished a tech this turn, most likely Bronze Working.
