Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

Spoilers~! Back to Base, a Superdeath story.

Care to explain your logic as it applies to this situation? I mean, unhealthiness isn't an issue until 10 turns from now, whereas you'd have a forge done in 14 turns, and you'd stagnate at 19 getting something like 18 hammers per turn. Then you build a temple in 4 turns and can finish the aqueduct 4 turns to creep up to that merchant.

So in 22 turns you add a forge, temple, and aqueduct ... or 15 more turns to add an aqueduct and ... grow to size 19 in the same amount of time (didn't do that math here).

was figuring on whipping the aqueduct, Forge last i looked into it, would make it impossible to get to the merchant due to unhealthy. Ill look more into it. Thanks!

If memory serves whip overflow hammers gain the benefit of the Forge.

The opposite, if you're talking about whipping the forge. If you finish a forge with 5 overflown (overflown?!) hammers, you only get 3. I'm pretty sure this happens anytime you gain a hammer modifier the turn you gain overflow, so switching into Organized Religion with a ton of overflow loses you hammers.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

I wonder how many hammers I've lost over my life due to this particular ignorance? Thousands for sure...

Maybe you lose the overflow on the forge but you get 37 hammers for every future whip as opposed to 30.

You only kind of lose the overflow. Say you overflow 25 hammers. If there's a forge, that will be reduced to 20, but the forge is then applied.

Essentially, the overflow is applied without the addition for the forge. I think that's counterintuitive, but I didn't code it wink

Gavagai is stacking more and more units in range of my border city.. Hitting printing press then might go straight for rifles. OR hit up something like education and try and out tech everyone? Either way, im still in hope that Gavagai and Alhazard get into a bit more fighting. I dont see any big Alhazard stack ready to invade Commodore... so maybe thats a sign the Alhazard will keep the pressure on Gavagai to no try and go all in on me? Could get interesting.

Landed TGLibrary. Dont believe anyone else was going for it... but im still happy i landed it. That will get me my GS after Chumchu's capital gives me a GP. Maybe a late golden age? Tech is going fairly fast. Gavagai is going for steel... maybe for ironclads ( iirc ) to keep his coast safe so he can bust into me... so im skipping education for now, and headed for rifles straight away.
