( Spoilers ) The Holy Grail of Threads

Love playing with diplo. Would honestly be better with like double the player #, and not being right next to the stonewall that is Gavagai... 10/10 would play again.

Id love full diplo MAYBE without tech trading? So there is less likely chances of tech alliances like you can see with this game forming, and more... idk Warfare.

Awesome! Unload the worker on the gold and see how the island looks before the settler lands?

We could settle on gold to get the happy five turns earlier. I wonder if that's worth it... Probably depends on how much food the island has.

Ill move the worker forward 1 tile and see if any seafood shows up, but ill be settling on the gold (sadly) next turn.

Also i had to move tiles around and swap the capital to research in order to get Currency EOT...

But even swapping off of a ton of food tiles in favor of commerce/hammers... I like these demos.

First to currency?? Hot DiggitE Dog. Set research to Iron working for the currency overflow, but i think all builds will swap to HA and we can save gold for a run at IW- Calendar- run for.... Metal Casting? Music? Go beeline for Knights? Hmm..

Well that was easy.

Working hardly ANY mines... and trying to grow as much as possible thanks to settling on gold. Not bad!

TBW also got currency this turn, so we tied for first to currency.

Horse archers. They do work.

( OLD PICTURE )

Red dots are the staging areas, black lines show the attack path for each stack. The north/west stack should only contain roughly 4 HA's at most. Our "power" stack of HA/Chariots will be the ones moving onto the copper tile. If we can get the 2nd half of the turn, we can take 3 cities before he can whip any spears into them. The west border city "flaming theater"  on t1 of the war, and the city north of it ( hopefully ) and Snork HQ on the 2nd turn of the war.

Putting quite a few eggs in this basket, BUT Gavagai hasnt been building any units lately and takes a long time to get to his turns... so maybe we can blow past his defenses and secure us a dominate lead.

I hadn't spotted the possibility of hitting lighthouse city on turn 2, very nice. Here's a more recent map with a whole load of spaghetti on it (note that some of these lines are reliant on culture falling away). I think B is going to be a better tile to land on than A (assuming we have units left over after taking Floating Theatre). Then we have a choice between consolidating units at D or having two approaches to his capital at C and D. I think consolidation is probably better, but I guess we'll know more when we move in.

We'll need two workers at each staging post, and at the northern one they need to road the staging tile on t0.

Gav is up Calendar and Aesthetics while we're up Myst, HBR, Masonry and Currency. It's nice that he's gone for those two instead of Construction, but he can still stop our attack in its tracks with 6+ spears, so I'd like to stop him reacting to our whipping spree and power increase over the next few turns: Do you want to send him a message asking about extending the NAP worded in a way that doesn't commit us to anything, perhaps along with a question about signing open borders with no scouting, or do you think that's just going to remind him that the NAP is about to expire?

Micro thought: I think we need to whip E this turn to get two HA out of that city for a t92 attack. Want me to log in to do it?

Spooked the most spookable player into building spears. Sad, but at least we have a defensive force now...
