So I’ve been hitting the arena, which I think is much more fun with TGT. Lots of very good big drops have slowed the meta down, and the inspire mechanic means you can do some very cool things. Paladins in particular seem very strong--the ability to spread far and wide combined with the effect of dilution on some of the money board-clears (Flamestrike, I’m looking at you) has made it quite a bit stronger I think.
And speaking of Paladin and inspire… how do you rescue an otherwise lacklustre deck with three two-drops and some very questionable cards and take it to 8 wins?

Also, if anyone wants to do a cooperative arena (my very favourite way of playing Hearthstone) at any point, do let me know.

Tuskarr Totemic is pretty good when you have totem synergy like we had!

Tuskarr Totemic is pretty good when you have totem synergy like we had!
How to win as Shaman: Draft Tuskarr Totemic and only get the good totems. (I think that card is legit crazy in Arena though, even if it isn't best tier.)

I just played a ranked game with dragon mage vs dragon priest.
DRAGON priest, I thought. He will probably steal fewer things than usual from me. I was not correct.
First, he played Thoughtsteal. That gave him a copy of my Nefarian. He then played Nefarian to steal two mage cards. Later, I had a Deathlord (which I don't mind the drawback of due to double Blizzard double Flamestrike. He played right into my Flamestrike... by stealing it with Cabal Shadow Priest. At this point I played a second Azure Drake (discounted by Emperor) and Blizzarded, to set the flamestrike up MORE. This is when he played Sylvanas.
OK, I thought. I have two Drakes. If Sylvanas steals one of them I guess I will Arcane Blast it. So I played Flamestrike. Lo, both of my drakes were still mine. Instead, Ysera was pulled out of my deck by the Deathlord and immediately taken. OK, fine, that was the only possible thing that could happen where I was now unlikely to win, but that happens sometimes. I manage to kill it one turn later.
Now we are near the end. I set up a beautiful Corrupter + Duplicate, leaving him with only a 2/4 vs my 12 life. This should be fine.
Nope. He attacks me to 10, and plays Ysera Awakens (via Cabal -> Deathlord + Sylvanas -> Ysera) and Fireball (via Thoughtsteal -> Nefarian) to kill me.
RIP SevenSpirits. He died with a Healbot in his hand.

This is where some smartalec wanders in and says "you should've played around those 2 cards!".

Ouch Seven. Those are the game that are either awesome/awful depending on which side of the RNG you end up on.
I made Rank 5 with the Resurrect Priest! I think I'm stopping there for the season, though I'm pretty confident I could get legendary with it if I just wanted to put in the time.
