Barbs I think will be ON no ships or cities. That is the most middle and least high variance option.

I think the goal for the game was am end of Feb/start of March start? Joshybravo I'll give a couple days to. I plan on starting to roll after Joshybravo confirmation.

I think this is something us old folks have to get used to. Anyways welcome to the forum. I think playing in a PB is also a great way to get used to the forum. If you ever need to test something you can do it here:

Well I'm actually 25, so it's embarrassing that I cant use the thread. I have no idea what PBs are or how you structure them. Im just reading through all the posts just to get familiarised with what's going on

Well forums were a thing when I was a kid,  and I guess their golden age ended with the dawn of the big social media platforms,  so I guess if anything you are too young

I'll post more info on Pitboss tonight,  if not someone else does it before.

Good idea of Charriu to getyou a teammate (=dedlurker, dedicated lurker). vanrober, weren't you looking for somebody to join?

Please be aware that these games can last a long time,  4-6 months or even more,  and that you're expected to make a move every day, so you should be up for that commitment.  players dropping out or regularly missing their turns is very bad for a game and spoils the fun for everybody.

If that is fine for you, you're very welcome,  as we're always glad to have new players joining!

This is fine, but in 6 months I'm bound to have a couple days when I can't make a move, will it be a problem?

Won't be a problem. If it is a one time thing and you notify ahead of time, usually we can find a replacement player for a couple days. Or if you have a teammate, then they can just take over for that time.

To give you, joshy and the civforum people, an overview what will happen in the next days:

1. This thread will move into the subforum section that I linked above.
2. You are expected to make a thread there. You are not required to make a detailed report there, but it's the point to talk in private with your dedlurker or receive important individual game information like...
3. Lewwyn will make the map and will start a lurker thread. You are not allowed to read that and the other players thread.
4. When Lewwyn is ready he will post a screenshot in your thread as well as a civ / leader combination for you to choose. Best look in my signature for our pickmethod - Random Pool. Everything regarding that is explained there.
5. You are supposed to post your decisions in your thread.
