GEM ACTIVATED
I mentioned couple of days ago I get an Ist every couple of days trading gems I pick up from normal gaming.
I have recently just came across LlamaSC’s “
Find HIGH RUNES | Best Areas and Monsters - Results may shock you!” in which he claims LK runs in Single Player is the most effective way to get high runes. His “Results may shock you!” is, GRushing Forge is the most effective way in Multi-players. This is assuming of a Gul every 10-11 Forge. That much we are in agreement, although, the details are different.
It is safe to conclude that running Forge Mules can be the best way to high runes. It is actually better than that. Previously, I have not included some data in the calculation that everyone else overlook, in order to make an easier read. The missing piece of the formula is gems
GEM ACTIVATED
Some basics about gems:
Common trading value
30 - 40 Perfect Gems = Ist (usually 40PGems)
12 - 15 - 20 Perfect Amethyst/Ruby = Ist (usually 15 - 20)
Every NM and Hell Forge drops 1 Perfect, 2 Flawless and a Normal Gem
We will not count random gems drops since we get that farming for runes also.
We will use the lower trading values of gems for our calculations; which should give us plenty of margin to rounding+- (to keep it simple) as I see fit.
1/3 of the gems would be either Ruby or Amethyst.
There should be 10 Ruby/Ameth in a batch of 30 gems
Since Amethyst and Ruby have twice the trading value, so 30 random gems equals the value of 40 gems
If Ist trade for 40 PGems, and since a batch of 30 PGems = the value of 40 PGems , we do the following exchanges as:
30 = Ist
15 = Mal
7.5 = Um
3.5 = Pul
Omitting Normal Forge, each Forge Mule will get a total (NM+Hell) of 3 Perfect, 1 Flawless and 2 Normal gems. 10 Forge Mules =
10 x 3PGems = 30PGems
10 x Flawless = 3.1PGems
10 x Normal = 3.1 Flawless = 1PGem
Total = 34PGems = 1.25 Ist
This alone boosts our estimated Gul drops by >50% points.
If we cube up all the runes below our average Gul from the 10 Forge Mules, plus the value of the Gems,
We easily double the estimated 1 Gul per 10-11 mules.
That is the power of gems.
As I have reported recently I traded a full set of Tal Rasher for an Ist, and sold it for a Vex. I would say it is many orders of magnitude easier to gather enough gems to trade for the set than it is to find the entire set yourself.
PS: Still, I have omitted one set of data, that makes Forge Runs ~3 times as profitable as people give it credit for
