Conan NW for me.
SB, have you set Worker A to road and then stopped it or does that still need to happen?

OK, new draft to DIM.
Quote:Honorable triumvirate of DIM.
We have penciled in writing for hunting/masonry or hunting/poly. We accept your offer to be able to cancel the deal. It look like this isn't going to be the case though.
Regarding India, we appreciate that you have given us directions to them. We also would like to make contact with them ASAP to try to get in the group. However, it seems that we won't be able to get a unit safely to their capital until about T53. To that end, could you tell them about us and try to negotiate a meeting between the 2 of us? More specifically, could you ask if India has a unit to the S of their capital that could possibly go to our capital or meet Conan? He is currently some 5 tiles SW of our capital but will move up NW if requested.
About the border agreement, we think that actually deciding city sites will be more likely to avoid tensions between our civilizations. Attached is our first dotmap of border sites in the area in question. We have no desire to expand E or S of these sites. They are open to negotiations should you have any concerns about their location.
We appreciate the info on the Aztec's. In return, A Carthaginian warrior (Karen) appeared about 7 tiles south of our capital a few turn ago. We are unsure where they are now but it seems they are hanging around that area for now.
We acknowledge that you switch off EP's on us when you met India. We were meaning to do the same but forgot about it as it was late in the turn. We hope that you can forgive this error on our part.

However, I would like to see if Conan survives or not before sending. If Conan doesn't survive, our part about India will have to change a bit. I therefore sent this to them.

Just a quick message saying that we have a full response to you, but we would like to wait until next turn (t33) before we send it to you. This is because Conan will probably be facing some barbarian units on the intern, and we would like to know if he survives before sending you our message.

Given our friendly relations, I am sure they will not mind.
Also a draft to Nice Shot
Quote:Greetings Team Nice Shot
The other civilization we have met is DIM. We unfortunately messed up on the EP number's, splitting the points between the 2 of you for one turn. However, let's not discuss such unpleasant subjects.
We are curious why your team thinks the peaks are curiously places since we haven't really noticed anything unusual about peak placement. In the early days, we were paranoid that a peak formation on the edge of our vision was destined to go on in a row for half the map or something like that, but that has since been dis proven.
In good faith, our capital is located a few tiles N of where we first met. May we ask where your capital location is in return?

There is little harm in telling them about DIM since we have them for a while. However, let's keep India and Aztec a secret for now.
We haven't really noticed anything curious about peak placement (have we?) so we just ask why they think it is curious.
Nothing really wrong with telling them our capital location, as long as they tell us about theirs.

Yup, NW for me. Let's hope there aren't too many more lions hiding in the bushes, although with our luck maybe they'll be barb warriors
Ad hoc, did you complete the road with the worker? I'm sure I stopped it, but now he's ended his movement and the road is complete . I think the right play now is to partially build a road on the sheep, then head onto the forest N of the sheep for the chop.
I've also renamed our civ to Greater Hyboria, aka the Hyborians or the Hyborian people. I propose the names Alcazar, Brutos and Costranno for our workers, they're villains from the Conan comics I think.

Probably go NW to evade the other lion, although I haven't seen the situation.
Probably send this to DIM. Re-worked the part about India due to the other message to DIM

Conan ended last turn next to 2 lions but Conan was intimidating enough for one lion to run away and strong enough to defeat the other.
The reason why we wanted to know if Conan survived is whether he could contact India on behalf of our civilization. We also would like to make contact with them ASAP to try to get in the group. Could you inform India of our civilization's whereabouts and see if they have a unit S of their capital to meet with Conan? He is currently some 5 tiles SW of our capital.

We also need the dotmap. Are we going to include yellow/green?
If you guys decide then feel free to send it.
EDIT: Crosspost with Sockboy

Hmmmm, I went in to move Conan before and thought that it was canceled but I could be wrong.

I've had a look at the C&D numbers again and spotted this...
Note the population opponent minimum score... It's at 2000, not 6000. That means someone has received population points for planting a second city instead of growing to size 2. We know that they have two cities at size 1 each since they are opponent minimum. So I had a bit of a look to see who did this in the last couple of turns. Here's what civstats turned up.
There's a 2 minute delay between the turn flipping and Dantski earning those points. He's also logged in at the time, I'm saying he's the culprit. I'm not sure that holding your capital to size 1 whilst you build a settler is a great idea though! Anyway, in case you ever get round to reading this, congrats Dantski! Either that or for double moving a settler .

I guess we should also start discussing what to do with Conan's upcoming promotion. Do we want to give him Combat1, Forest1 or Save it up for a rainy day? I think Forest1 will be most useful, if he can fend off another lion or two we can get him to Forest2 and actually have a quickish scout. OTOH we've got chariots coming online in a number of turns, does this diminish the need for Forest1?

Dantski got a 2nd city, huh? Well they did go BW first along with India (Stonehenge) and Rome(IW). It's a shame that we didn't start with mining.
Chopping out a settler at size 1 is interesting, but I don't think that you have the worker labor available to capitalize on it. In comparison, we will have more improvements and 3 workers in 6 turns (I think). Whereas they probably won't have that many by then.

Woodsman1 of course. Conan is mainly going to be a scout. His biggest problem is surviving (see last turn), so we should be sticking to defensive terrain whenever we can. Also it opens up wood2, which is easily the best scouting promotion for a warrior.
