It actually won't be that bad. With this Always War setup you're unlikely to meet (or at least seriously interact with) anyone beyond your immediate neighbours for quite some time. So most folks will only have contact of any significance with 3-5 others for a large chunk of the game.

Besides, as has been mentioned, very little (to nothing) posted in diplo will be of much importance anyway. wink

That brings up an interesting point. Teching may be slower due to not meeting everyone.

You get a small bonus for every civilization that already knows the tech you're researching.

It's a bonus of [civs met with tech] / [total civs] * 30%, and it's additive with the pre-req bonus.
