Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

{SPOILERS} 2metra, Dreylin & OT4E. This is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Yay, great that you're back in the saddle 2metra!

I thought we'd got the extra Worker turn in order to finish the Farm, but if not then I agree that Roading the 2 flatland tiles is the best route.

I don't have a concern with dtay building a force to attack us; he's far enough away that we'll have plenty of warning via the graphs so can prepare.

BTW, I noticed from the demos that someone is already working their precious metal - at least that's the only explanation I have for the high "Best GNP" umber. I think it's probably too early to have put out a second city and hooked it up, so my bet would be REM/AI since they were the only ones who moved before settling.

Turn played:

Workers moved to farm the grassland - to complete next turn. Warrior moved to new city site to defog ahead of the Settler & Workers.

Not sign of the Lion or dtay's Scout in the middle, so it looks likely that the Lion attacked and one or the other was killed. I assume that dtay is healing if he won. Nearby Scout finished defogging the land between us and revealed a dry Corn ... we might want to Pink Dot something in this area.

Scout at dtay's city moved as planned, nothing eventful here. But, dtay revolted to Slavery this turn, which may suggest he has a Settler on the go. His Power graph also says that he produced a Quechua last turn. If he does have a Settler in transit, I think that means he can only have 1 Worker at the moment.

But, the real news was in the North. Herc is at 0.9/1 so I took the suggested move 8-9 and here's what we found:

Commodore (Tokugawa of the Netherlands). Here's what we know:

He has not met dtay yet, so we were right that his Scout was eaten.
He is not in Slavery.
He does not have a second city.

I switched all our EPs onto him; once we have his graphs we should switch back to dtay to keep him from gaining our Research.

Next turn Herc can either 1) sit & finish healing, 2) move N, or 3) move NW. Probably depends whether we can see the Lion.

2metra, do you want to take back turn-playing duties, or are you happy for me to keep doing so?

Why do we need to switch to commodore?
We'd better not show dtay that we have found somebody. We'd better try to gain more infomration about dtay instead of viewing graphs of the team we are not going to border with.

I agree about not switching espionage to Commodore.

I think I will be able to play turns, but lets say we are switching on and off of playing turns. If I can I will play turns, if I have little time will ask you to play.

OK sounds good about playing the turns.

I had thought that we'd want to get Comm's graphs (and stop him getting too much info about ours), but I can see what you're saying about hiding our knowledge from dtay.

I've already ended turn though, so /can/ we change the EPs now? It miht be better for one of you two to log in an do it (if you have time) as it will look less suspicious to dtay.

OK, managed to get in before the turn rolled and make the change.

Hey guys, I just popped into the game and I'm not certain what we're doing with the Scouts now?

I had suggested that Dolly continue North up the land bridge towards Commodore (with Herc continuing past) and the Eastern unnamed Scout to circle the South of dtay's Capital. But Herc has moved South away from Commodore and Dolly has moved South again as well. Looks like Eastern Scout has moved back towards the homeland.

So we need to agree what the plan is for these.

Herc: defog the Land bridge or continue past Commodore to find more people?
Dolly: defog the Land bridge or circle dtay's Capital?
3rd Dude: circle dtay's Capital or back to homeland & defog Eastern Coast?

Other stuff from last turn:

3rd Dude defended the attack from the Lion and defeated it without injury. The Lion was injured coming in so it probably had eaten dtay's Scout a couple of turns ago.

dtay planted his second city last turn - we can't see it yet, so it probably went west to the Gems (& Copper?)

Commodore has spent 6EP on us so far. Since we met him after he had played, that probably means that he has met 1 other person and that he hadn't changed his EP settings until last turn. (2EPs the turn we met, and 4EPs last turn after he had redirected to us)

So I think that we should try and get a Scout past his land to try and meet the other player on the landmass.
