Almost certainly, but I think we are waiting on Gingereagle for confirmation.
If it does end... anyone fancy another game with a more even map (Bob ![alright alright](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/alright.gif) ) ?

I was certainly envious of your early game demographics! I thought Bob got significantly shafted though. It felt a bit like we all had our own continents with sections joining them...except for Bob. He just got a snaky landmass with no land to cottage. He was even in demographics but eventually cottages just beat coast.
Qg- not a complaint at you though, we asked for mild editing so it's on us. Thank you once again for helping.

well, as i mooted calling it before the lurker posted in our threads, i think it's safe to say my vote is in favour
I'd be up for another game, preferably without the crippling maintenance settings!
This time, can we set rigid playing times & stick to them please? (except for the early days when we can get through 5 or more turns in an evening) Nothing worse than sitting in all day waiting for the turn, you get fed up waiting and do something else for 4 hours, only to find it arrived 5 minutes after you made that decision
PBEM12 - Shaka of Inca [6/6*] PBEM18 (Apps) - Augustus of China [4/4*] PBEM31 - Hannibal of Greece [jnt2-4/5*] PBEM72 - Willem of Oranje - Dutch [3/4*] PBEM74A -Catherine of Babylon [4/4][*ended early]

Sure i had strong early game demographics, But I'd actually say that it wasn't as much because of the capital itself, than it was because of correctly identifying the maintenance to be potentially crippling, hence critical to control, and went hard for a good Organized ruler (my pick choices being Darius->Mehmed->Asoka->Zara), and a early push for cottages to have the commence to keep it steady. Even before seeing the map I was considering Khan my hardest opponent solely because of him being the only other with organized trait
Also, from what i noticed, it appears that GE's land was slightly browner in the close vicinity than for anyone else (at least in the directions that he bothered expanding).
Certainly didn't help GE that the pick was the wrong leader (given the settings which we knew before picking), leading of the wrong civ (practically regardless of the settings)

I think I'm done playing PBEMs for a while, but thanks for the offer.

That's true, here I only made the terrible error of playing in a game where the map wasn't reviewed properly.
Suffice to say, I'm a little tired of Civ atm.

Fair enough Bob.
Thanks to all of you for the game, I very much enjoyed it. Will give it a week or so before posting a thread for a new game. I want to mull over a few ideas/settings before hand.
