Jabbz did you worry at all about the noobs in terms of balance?
That would be putting it mildly. Thankfully I followed Azarius' advice and didn't let WHO was playing the roles sway me as to the balance. Clearly it worked out fine. I still wonder how much my dickup on day one changed things, but I honestly don't think it had much impact in the grand scheme of things. I'm fairly certain that with an SK and a Vig Psilly wouldn't have survived night one either.

FWIW I also was convinced that I would be a terrible scum and ruin the game by being too easy to lynch and providing no challenge for the village. Glad to see I was wrong about that.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

That is very hard to say after the game. It would have made a Mason-claim by Jkaen interesting. I agree that Psilly had a good chance to get vigged but novice might have chosen a different action and D2 would play very different.
EDIT: To be clear that doesn't in the least mean a different outcome just a different game.

Missed the game, looks like I'm back just in time for the end. Anyone want to sum up the greatest hits for me?
Just as a matter of general modding policy, I think I agree with Rowain here:

First saying the GM has told him more then expected and then claiming the GM has told him otherwise is cheating in my book. He should have been mod-killed after the second post IMO.
That is to say, lying about what the GM has said is not appropriate, and deserves some form of censure. This is why you should never discuss the GM's communications.
Obviously didn't follow, so only working off this thread.

Me too :P Though I suspect I responded too late to matter.

It's okay 'Lewwyn and the noobs' were up to the challenge!

It was a very fine line, and it put me in a bind. I thought about it for a good while, but decided the best thing for the game was for me to remain silent, leaving it up to the group to decide whether or not he was full of it. I know Gaz felt pretty bad once he realized what he had done, so I doubt it is likely to happen again. All things considered though, IIRC that rule was put into place to prevent people from copying a Mod's specific writing style in order to achieve greater credibility, and the wording of the rule strongly implies direct quotes are the problem. Gaz didn't break the rule to that point in my opinion.

The mod stuff was bad, for sure. I initially wanted to stress that Fenn wasn't a serial killer, as that is what the wording of my text strongly implied. Then when I got a correction I just wanted to pass it on - I wasn't thinking about how it might make me look, because I forgot that other people didn't know I was innocent.
That was a brilliant game from Lewwyn and the Noobs. A lot of courage for new players to pick mafia first off, and then to keep your cool so well. There's no doubt in my mind that you guys thoroughly deserved to win, although Novice played very well also.
Meiz, your scumdar was right on point this game, and I'm sorry for ignoring it. You just seemed so confident about what seemed tenuous to me, that I didn't let myself be convinced.

Also, I didn't lie about anything from Jabbz. I just tried to explain the slightly confusing information I was getting.
