Sigh. So is the western NAP-fest hiding some sort of response, or did Captain Bombast just realize if he keeps a low profile he takes less of a diplo hit? Lord Parkin, you're once again completely and utterly raping the spirit of the game by not swapping research until the last second, which is one of the many reasons, I'm sure, you've been waiting to end turn last all the time. Honest question; why did you sign up for this game? No definition of casual can even come close to covering the power-gaming here.
Look, it's not hard to not be a dick: You try to avoid being a dick. It's possible, without formal rules at all, check out PB5. The double-moving turn timer stuff, I am 100% certain, is why you're winning so convincingly right now. I'm reasonably sure in a PBEM format even someone not that good, like me, could stand toe-to-toe with your civ skills. Unfortunately, we'll never know.
