Gah... waiting again. At this point in the game, there's surely nothing to do in-game but move two units - so why not just end turns after your first or second login?

ASM 3 times in a row you're last one to act. I guess the quotes below illustrate the reason, but please stop. You definately understand where this easily leads. Everyone doing the same, Alarm clocks... Not fun.

In general, if double move opportunity occurs when playing normally, then take it. Just don't make it a habit to be wait for such opportunities every turn.
The over-competitive games are elsewhere. Here ideal play is that you log in at the most convinient time for you, play your turn and don't look back. If you got double moved, relax. If nescessary curse them in your thread and plan payback, that makes a fun read and you're the righteous one. If you lose, at least you did play it right.

Lewwyn, +1 for a person every time they complain about waiting to play.
Hmmm, sorry bout that that time. I guess I didn't mash enter hard enough. :| Is anyone getting lag on this?

Ok mistakes happen. Talking about them now you didn't follow the one and only double move rule we've ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) . I hope it didn't matter, but please pay attention. Does this rule feel unnescessary? Should we vote for removing or changing it?

I pressed enter at the end of my last turn before logging out. I don't know what happened last turn. I wasn't intentionally holding the turn for a hut that time. Maybe someone else was logging in and I didn't notice but I did try to end turn last turn just like I just did for this turn.

Should we vote for removing or changing it? I kinda thing it doesn't really matter at least for this early part of the game. The only thing it would affect this early is someone using a doublemove to get to a hut before someone else. But much of that is luck anyway, and isn't as much of a game-changer as someone using a doublemove to attack someone twice before the person even knows they are under attack. And I doubt that will be happening anytime soon.
Maybe, remove the rule until there is conflict involved. Then the person that is initiating the conflict simply needs to know that they can't do a doublemove within the first 2 (or is it 3) hours of the new turn.

I'm going to respectfully ask we not remove rules that people signed up under a week into the game
I'm not so hard core as to track player logins pre-conflict, but it is disappointing if people are actually violating the double move rule.
I wouldn't mind Mist confirming this just so I know I'm not confused, but here's my understanding:
Quote:This is a fun game. Get angry in your thread. Get angry in the public thread, we're not holding grudges here. Don't worry too much if your start is good or bad. Share whatever you want in the public thread, make or break any deals.
But don't assume you have a totally free hand or this is anarchy. Spoiler threads must still be respected, the no-out-of-game communication rule is hard and fast, and there is a mild double-move rule which should be obeyed.
Come on guys, let's not let what's been a super fun atmosphere lull us into sloppy sportsmanship!
EDIT: Now in ASM's defense, if what he wanted to do was spot hut->let turn run out->wait 2 hours->grab hut then more power to him. If he feels that gives him an advantage then go for it, you're totally within the rules, just risking anger here. I know in my own case I won't purposefully hold the turn up for trivial reasons, but I certainly will legally hold it up at a hypothetical junction in the game. And, I'll take the criticism I'll get in this thread in the fun spirit it was intended
