[No Players] Lurker thread, to lurk and chirp

Joey trolls for lurker input by asking "Who is like which AI leader", gets very few bites.

Gavagai makes historical allusions, talks about historical attitudes towards World War II, gets several times more responses without trying.

I love Realms Beyond.

4 players conceivably in the space race, and at least two of them have ICBMs. They're nerfed i know, but couldn't they still be effective enough to help with a ninja capital raze if someone gets a ship in space but not there yet?

Oh yes, this is an extremely cool game. Not sure Plako will allow Gavagai passage given his own space infrastructure being vulnerable, though.

By the way? I totally feel vindicated. I think I did a lot given how skinny my little land was:

Not a slam against you by the way, TBS...just think I never really appreciated how good Brick's balancing was for PB13.

It's crazy that there's still a fair amount of land that has never been settled.

I think that's where Commodore's cities got captured and Gavagai hasn't got sight on them again yet.

Anyway, anyone want to bet against Gawdzak at this point?

I think I'm inclined towards Gawzdak largely because he's the only one not offering self-deprecating/depressed updates lol

But no, I can't see him losing. Both Jojo and Gavagai have a part to play in the mutual antagonism that brought them both down, though. Sometimes just managing the situation well enough to avoid conflict is all you need to bear through, and that strategy seems to be paying dividends.

Some of those islands, although you can see some in Gawd / dtay's culture which are bare as well. I meant more the large icy island in the north (with the barbarian city) and the 4-tile one at Gavagai's far NW.

I still like Gawdzak. It's largely self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. The more Joey and Gavagai see animus in the other the more likely they are to continue slugging it out. Gawdzak is geographically far enough removed with a less immediate attack vector available, so this isolation plays in his favor again. He needed the cooperation of Joey once to reel Gavagai and his massive land lead in and he got it when he had to have it. Now he's getting continued cooperation from those two. You have to get some good breaks to win. Sometimes good things happen when you make rational decisions and are very patient, which it seems he has been. It's not over yet, though. Things may change when the world gets an announcement each turn about new spaceship parts completing. hammer

Plako is very much in this too.

*edit, but just so's we're clear, my money is on Gawdzak too.
