Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

{SPOILERS} 2metra, Dreylin & OT4E. This is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Well, it looks like there's a lot of land to Commodore's East ... and a lot of Jungle. We've also revealed his Copper (also closer to his Capital than ours...).

No sign of dtay's second city to the South, so it's definitely gone to the Gems/Copper site. We've pretty-much hit Coast down there so it's a debate whether or not to continue to fully defog or turn around straight away.

But I'm not sure about the micro for 54Cents. We'd talked about growing in 2t, but if we do that it'll take 4t to generate us a Warrior. If we stick with the current tiles we can grow and produce the Warrior in 3t and then start the Settler at size 4.

Alternatively we could push all the way to size5 - taking 5t - produce the Warrior and still not need an MP since we'll have Gold Happy by then.

I left the turn un-ended so we can discuss.

Just to be clear, I played the full turn apart from switching the worked tiles at the Cap. Currently it's on FP Farm, Corn & Sheep Mine for the grow 3 / Warrior 3 strategy.

Is there anyone out there lurking? Ah well, for the record I chatted with 2metra this afternoon. He checked in game and we can grow twice to size5 in 5t, so we're going to do that.

And we founded next to the Gold on schedule:

I'm going to suggest Samarkand as a potential name - on the Silk Road...?

It's currently working the FP and putting hammers into a Warrior. We had talked about a Worker and I guess we'll switch once the Mine is online in 2t.

Scouts scouted, but nothing major to show (you can get a better view of Commodore' land from his thread)!

Turn played, Mine started at City #2, 54 Cents grew last turn and configured to grow again & produce a Warrior (with 3overflow) in 3t.

Scouting in the South:

We need to turn one of these North (probably Dolly on the West) next turn or the turn after.

Scouting in the North; Scout got bumped by Commodore's second city planting:

I'm not sure, but maybe this is when we complain about the map balance...? huh I suppose they're buried in Jungle so they can't be taken advantage of immediately, but that's going to be a very nice city once it's carved out.

Are there some civs already in war? I think REM said they need to obey turn order? What you guys think is up with this early war?

Killing scouts, what else could it be?

Yeah, he and Joey had a thing for a turn or two.

Played the turn last night, not much to report: Gold mine finished and we switched Samarkand to working it and building a Worker.

We do need to decide on the micro plan for next turn after the road is complete. I think one Worker needs to put down a Farm on the FP for Samarkand (no point growing until we have this done), but not sure about the other. We could ChopFarm one of the Silks (into a Barracks?) or maybe go back to 54 and road the Mine or complete another Farm...?

Started blaming luck already? What do you think about this?
