Oh FFS....
It's more like the apocalypse when other people are being so rude that I appear to be the voice of reason calling for civility. Anyway the pb18 whining probably goes in all your pb18 threads, right guys?

Boldy PM'd me, we'll continue our flaming there.
In other news, T77. Fuck this game.
Techs Commodore could potentially have right now: Calendar, Currency, Construction. If it was just Commodore, I'd put money on Construction, but with dtay there I'm guessing they took Currency. Also, they settled city 8!

There was an error in your dtay analysis, I think I've fixed it.

gavvvvvaaaaaaaaaaaaaagaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii you've had monotheism for so long, what happened to the oracle, man ???!? guess he's been too hard-pressed at home. after borsche bullied him out of that marble spot, hordes of Agg axemen pushing back hordes of non-Agg axemen, the poor guy had to settle for a GRASSLAND SPICES as his only food tlle so that he could still get horses.
Well, he's up to 6 cities now at least. Borsche at 6 too, Elkad still at 4 (but now above 100k power ), Donovan at 5, HAK at 5.

Sigh, beaten to my spot. I wanted to settle 1NE of this spot to share the crabs and get all these resources, but instead I'll settle here and attempt to make lemons out of lemonade. After chopping out the IK (securing the first-ring wet corn), I'll chop out a whole bunch of warriors. This city is not connected to my trade network, so it will have no copper, and therefore 15h MPs are possible here. I'm gonna try to get another worker down here asap. I don't think HAK will try to fight me for this spot, as he has enough trouble with Grimace, it looks like, and I'm his only source of ICTRs whenever one of us gets alphabet. (He could get them from Borsche too, but he doesn't have a route with Borsche yet I think.)

Looks like Gav had wanted to do the same thing Com presumably did, bulb Math and Oracle Currency. Com's gambit was already super late for the Oracle and he's Phi... I think Gav's plan was too risky here.
Other news:
A barb appeared on this island, which was a surprise. As it is, this guy is no problem, but I'm glad this isn't an axe and I'm glad I didn't dump another undefended settler here. I actually thought the island would have been small enough to stop barb spawns; I guess I should have actually counted the tiles!
Donovan's city beat my border expansion by 1T, so I'll lose a forest, ho hum. Maybe my library will finish and take it back before they can chop it.
Demos:
Donovan's #1 in soldiers here, we were even but now he's above me. Guess I'll have to get yet more pointless military out just to keep up appearances, what a pain. I'll be turning my slider on in about 6-7 turns I think, as soon as I get my scout over to the island and make contact with Commodore for the KTB on Math. I'll have 6 libraries at that point too. I've gotta finalize on either Math or Alphabet very soon... maybe as soon as next turn. Alpha for ICTR with HAK would be pretty good, as he'll be my only non-Commodore source of 3c routes. However... he's only got like 6 cities, Math may be more important long term (e.g. for wonders), and... there could be other things to gain by skipping Alpha...

Elkad posted a weird city on the island a couple turns ago; as far as I can tell it doesn't have any BFC food (although I don't have the full BFC unfogged, who who knows) and it's settled very aggressively south, clearly intended to block off enough area for 3 additional cities. Hmm, well, I'll leave it be for now. He also settled another city at an unknown location this turn, finally bringing up to 6 cities. I settled my 10th city on the island this turn, my last for quite awhile. The only other spot I have is like, 3 tiles from HAK's capital and I don't want to incense him more, at least until I can get better infrastructure up on the island.
Speaking of HAK, I've been wondering what to do about him. I thought my Agg trait, the possibility of ICTRs, and HAK's eastern border tensions would keep peace de-facto for a bit, at least long enough for me to secure the area, but a border expansion across the water revealed that HAK actually had a C1 Shock Axemen. So, I'm actually a bit disadvantaged, and backed off. I wish I had just settled on the stone, as I'll probably win the first border pop race anyways. Like, how many warriors am I really going to get out of here? Might as well get the routes and save the worker effort. Blugh. Now, I'll have to build a stupid fort on the stupid tile to get my stupid resource and I don't get the extra stupid hill defense for my city against these insane people. HAK and Mindy have been going haywire in their thread since I planted there, and given both of their inclinations for ancient-era wars I'm sure they don't care a whit about 3c routes. I had forgotten that HAK attacked Gavagai over a city like this in PB22 despite having empty space for like 30 cities, so I'm sure that any chance of ICTRs for me from them is completely shot. I think his passive defense in our war in PB18 skewed my judgement of him - he was already out of that game after he got drained in an ancient era war, of course he'd play passive by that point! Arrgh, stupid me, should have remembered what he's been like in his other games. Oh well, I'll just mark this down as a mistake and try to keep my stone.
I finally make contact with Commodore next turn, so I'm also finally turning on my slider. I have 5 libraries done, a ridiculous 450 hammers in total, but it's better than just building more axemen for no reason or whatever. It's not like I have a reason to build more workers and settlers, LOL!!! I'll have saved up like 330 gold, which I think is enough to power straight through Mathematics and also complete Currency. I'll have had my slider off for 16 turns in total... and yet I'm still at the top of the scoreboard somehow, despite having less happy resources than anyone else and yet still whipping harder than anyone else too? This field is pretty weak, I guess.

Twhatever to whatever. T87 I guess, who cares.
This game is still completely horrible. Here's Elkad's apparently foodless plant and my new unboatable-by-Commodore city. Maybe Elkad has a fish? I wouldn't know, I for some reason have a 3-tile wide ocean gap here while everybody else seems to only have a 1-tile wide coastal channel in front of their offshore, so I can't see it, LOL!!!!!!!!!!
I met Commodore that turn too. He has all 5 of his ancient happies hooked of course, and a size 10 capital now. Three of these happies are market-happies, it so happens, so he can get up to size 14 off the same tech and buildings that I can get my capital to size 8, LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #BAlance #fUN #SoGladIWasteSoMuchOfMyBrainPOwerWitHThisSTUpidOldVideoGame
Turned on my slider with KTB. Wow, #1, my civ must be so good! Borat: NOT! #1 power is Donovan... I'll probably coast up to #1 soon just because I have nothing else to build except military. I already have more than enough workers even before my next few finish. I started prechopping the mids and building up an overflow chain, although it won't end up mattering because of a.) HAK might kill my stone and b.) Gavagai swapped into Judiasm this turn, which seems like a play for some wonder. That said, he did swap into HR too, a few turns ago, so maybe it won't be the mids. Who knows, who cares, whatever.
So, sliders on, Currency comin' up, hell yeah, time to get some ICTR's with HAK soon, oh wait, he's a fucking idiot with no fucking brain inside of his mother fucking head. ARRGHHH, HAK I'M SO ANGRY WITH YOU. He's decided to try invading me, nuking our imminent ICTRs with some shitty unpromoed ancient trash to take a city with no strategic, tactical, or economic value to him. Meanwhile, fucking Borsche settles here too, and because HAK is wasting his time with me he now has a chance to get another city too, even closer to HAK, as HAK built these stupid units instead of a fucking settler, arrghh! Great job HAK, way to remove my culture from this spot that was no threat to you but of major strategic value to me, only to lose out on more land than you might gain either way. Also, I'm sure that even if you win here, I'll just let you keep a city there and never get revenge on you ever!
I logged back in after HAK played and he did indeed declare war, roading the wine with his workers, sniping the scout with one chariot (flawless ofc), and dumping two axes (including the C1 S axe) and a chariot on the corn. I put a chop I was saving for a granary next turn in to finish the archer, so I'll have two CG1 archers, a C1 Axe, and a chariot able to defend next turn. The archers won't have a very good fort bonus though, so it'll be a straight coinflip as to whether he can eventually take the city I think. I can't reinforce any more next turn, as my galley couldn't both drop off the chariot/worker and pick up another archer+impi, but in two turns I can whip and thus in three turns I can have another 4 units in the city. Wow, great, lucky me. Goddamn, this is so stupid, what a waste of resources and potential. Why pick a fight with me when Commodore is already gearing up to invade you with Knights? By the way, HAK? Since I'm in the mood? Your city naming themes are always terrible, it pisses me off to see that stupid shit every time I play with you.
Here's another tip, HAK, if you're gonna invade a guy who can boat half of your core, maybe you shouldn't leave your workers around in the open, fortified (??!?), where I can snipe them from the fog in the future.
I hate playing this game, I hate it so fuckign much. Every time I post an update here, I actually write a long flaming rant, directed at the map, realms beyond, OH, the other players in this game, and, most of all, myself, that gets more and more angry every time. So far, I've managed to delete it before I post it. I wonder how long I'll keep doing that?
