WW16: The Outlaws and The Olives

bah forum ate my longwinded post.

tldr: (in this case literal):

feeling adrift today. i don't know if that is good (wolf-leading isnt so strong) or bad (we are still clueless)

I don't think there's one person i trust anymore. Maybe Jkaen - and even that comes as a surprise.

i won't be able to get to the game until late this afternoon - but hopefully will beat deadline.

waterbat Wrote:Lewwyn* and Qgqqqqq,

what about day3 when catwalk stayed in the lead until the very end when we (myself included) called for Mero to hang (and Mero subsequently claimed himself to death)?

Lewwyn hasn't posted since then, but Qg, has.

Lewwyn/Qg - any response to this?

I was planning on coming back to post about waterbat, but my god it takes time going back through these posts. It just takes so long.

So here's the thing. After going back through the posts on Waterbat... I think he's likely just a villager. His very first post of the game put me on edge with the all caps I'm innocent thing, and ever since then I've looked at him with suspicion. He carried on with his roleplaying through the first half of Day 1 and then when we get into the Night and the following day he sort of drops it. Why? Because A) its obvious he was just having fun, B) it became cumbersome and no longer fun, so C) he stopped doing it. But scum would try to maintain this cover. They wouldn't be throwing it away. They would care more about appearances than having fun, because for them the fun would be in the winning.

His voting record is terrible. He hops on Uber day 2 at the 4th vote. Hops to Pindi and then hops back to Uber to give him the lead at 6 votes! I never realized Uber had so many votes on Day 2 but he was in the lead by 2 votes after Waterbat put his vote on him. The thing was the votes on Uber died down and Waterbat stayed on him. You could say this was suspicious. Waterbat did say Uber was his preferred target for the day though, so I can buy it. Day 3 is worse because he's one of the first people on Mero and he never changes his vote all day. Just parks. If he's a wolf then he doesn't need to change or explain any vote switching at the end of the day. But let's be honest, Mero was basically a lurker lynch policy vote until he went insane and fake claimed as a vanilla villager.

So yes, his voting record is not good, and seems a bit scummy, but I'm not reading that in the posts. I'm just seeing a villager trying to have some fun.

I started out with the intent to find proof of waterbat's guilt and in its absence I think he's innocent. I did this before with Mardoc I think a few games ago. I was getting a scummy read, went back to find the evidence and found none. I do not think waterbat is a good lynch.

Not really. Currently voting Catwalk. I do think that Mero was a lurker lynch as I said in the above post. That means it was very similar in my POV to the Sareln lynch. In both cases we have IMO more mislynchable villagers.

Dont like us being stuck on those 2, still over 7 hours left, so plenty of time to bring up another.

As I asked earlier what did i miss that made everybody think pindicator was no longer suspect?

I think I'd like Qqqq rather than Catwalk for the block.

I don't like either, I'm staying on Mattimeo.

Too much movement after he got the lead for my liking. I'm not completely against the idea that Injera has also 'fake reavealed' to buy more time for Mattimeo's 'fake claim' so another villager can die.

The mafia have plenty of people to play with, and as Injera was getting some heat as well to make his claim seem less random, it wouldn't totally surprise me.

This is what I hate about "Inconclusive Claim Day." Just turns everything to an argument about ... I'm not sure, what we're we arguing about again?

I think it goes without saying that Mattimeo's use of his protection role has been tragically bad, if indeed he has a protection role. It also goes without saying that we'll know a lot more tomorrow regardless of what the scum does tonight so its silly not to wait.

I think Injera's use and reveal has also been moderately questionable, though not to the extent of Mattimeo.

I don't really love the lynch targets, Catwalk just seems convenient and Qgqqqqq seems... well, I don't really know. But in a day without much outside of the Mattimeo-Injera quagmire, I trust the Qgqqqqq voters more than the Catwalk voters.

I'll monitor the lynch by phone if anyone has time to propose more attractive alternatives. At the moment, I don't have time to dig and do so myself.
