Hmm, I mulled it over, but Gilgamesh is really only rush and naught else. If I want to conquer somebody and boy do I want to, I need it to be more suprising.
Start looks good, I will comment later. Please other leader, Chev.
RNG for your re-roll was 1, so you get the first of the five alternate slates I generated.
New slate: Quote: Hojo Also, could you post your play window in the tech thread to help us work out the play order?

Ooh, Rome. And also oh boy, two five-foodhammer tiles in easy reach of the capital? This is going to be a very fast start.
Let´s hope for the camp pantheon as well.
I fear I will need to leverage this into an early legion push.
If everything's a go with the tech thread, here's the turn 1 save to set up on PYDT:

What's the plan for the opening turn(s)? It looks like the obvious place to settle is 1E of the settler's initial location to get the second (and marginally better) foodhammer tile in play immediately, but I guess it depends on what the warrior reveals to the north.
For the first build, I generally like a warrior (especially with Rome), but a scout will cover more ground and give us a better chance at spotting the strongest possible second city. Especially relevant since this seems like a map to go settler before builder.
Turn 2
Anyway, let´s get going. I will have a nice second tile to grow into and decided to get the 2nd furs north in my 3rd ring and not settle on the plains hill. Most of the times I do not need the defense and with Rome I should even less so. Pindicator and Whosit are still moving, SIP by the other two. GP. Naming sheme will be latin sayings. I will use the growth tile and then switch to both camp tiles at size 2. Plan is for a warrior->worker->settler as I want camps nice and early. I would love a quick pantheon, but we will see. |
