@Jabah - good point, although I think without Cathy I might have been able to go free religion and stay at peace. I wonder how AI teams work? Do they have independent personalities still, so a Napoleon can declare and pull a Gandhi in?

@mostly_harmless - I read examples in the few reports I had time to go through of people suggesting tech, suggesting war targets, etc. I guess I should have played around more with the diplomacy screen smoke

@blid - Yup, it was not the best tech path I've chosen in a space race. I needed to prioritize the techs to help my commerce and vertical growth.

@Compromise - Thanks...it is easier to make a report funny when you lose wink. I believe Sabotage could have helped, I had spies over there (snuck 'em over on subs) but they kept getting caught taking out Aluminum. Dunno why I had such bad luck with them. The parts sabotage I heard but never verified only takes out a few turns, so I figured it wasn't as effective.

Your report was very fun to read. smile

It seems you had stronger economy than me, so the biggest difference was that you got attacked by Industrial team, while I had to deal only with Alex's Rifles. It probably would have helped you to go into free religion earlier (I did it the moment I signed PA) and bribing main bullies by giving them resources for cash. (Those "fair trade" and "years supplied with resources" bonuses really add up.)

As for endgame tech path, early Rocketry is good if you are weak on production (so need to start building components as early as possible), which happens very seldom, unless you have few cities and/or go for extreme cottage spam. In normal cases, I prefer to beeline to Robotics (Space Elevator is always helpful), then do Rocketry and Satellites to give my cities something to build, and then finish up remaining techs, making sure my top production cities are ready for the final parts.
