That is one of the nicest victories I have ever seen. Nice work!
I wish the RNG would be that nice to me too

I'm speechless! I read the entire post with my jar sitting on the keyboard.
Nicely done. The fact it was at Diety is totally impressive.

Very nice expansion - although Deity AIs' expansion is crazy, your 4 cities by 700BC is still more than most of my games on much lower difficulty. That early war declaration by JC seemed to be very fortunate, I didn't see that in most of the other games. That power graph upon your declaration on Issy is just silly - JC is out-of-control even relative to the other Deity AIs - wow. Amazingly well fought wars, but I have a question about troop concentration - at the levels I play at, I rarely fight modern wars, but if I were to I can't see having nearly as many Mechs you had, at least compared to Modern Armour. Additionally, why so many Battleships when you were on the same continent?
PS - I hate the colors chosen for the starting continent civs - Red, Purple, and Purpleish are hard to tell apart.

After reading other reports, I agree I was lucky with the early Roman-Chinese war, and a lack of war on the other continent until I had astronomy.

I didn't build many mechs - mainly drafted them. After taking over the other continent I had plenty of happy resources, so I could draft my cities a lot.
Regarding battleships, I had 2 continents to defend, so that's 4 coasts, and it works out as 15 battleships per coast. He did send a stack of warships and carriers to the other continent but no transports. The transports went to the west of my main continent and I definitely needed all the battleships I had on that coast.

You probably missed it since so many people have replied, but I asked on the last page what are you system specs? It would be interesting to compare those to the length of time between turns.

Now THAT was an impressive game. Good lord were there a lot of units running around at the end! I picked the Small map to try and cut down on tedium, but it looks like that was a failure. Sorry about that everyone; I'm still trying to learn what works and what doesn't in designing these scenarios.
sooooo's game didn't look much like mine at all; the whole north was entirely gobbled up by the AIs by 500BC in my world. Caesar's evisceration of Mao was a huge break, definitely allowing sooooo to acquire a stronger base long-term than would have been otherwise possible. Granted, it did cut off most of the tech trading opportunities that existed in other games, but long-term it payed off. The presence of a weak Spain to attack was a lesser stroke of fortune, but still significant. That's not to suggest that this game wasn't played well, because it clearly was!
Great read, I think this will be remembered for a long time as a legendary game.

The AI has a soft hard limit on the unit's it'll train.
For instance it'll train #Cities + 1 Bombers and #Cities + 1 Fighters, it'll train # WaterTiles/350 Carriers, and enough Carrier Fighters to fill them.
It'll train exactly one "Settler Sea" (a transport designated to carry settlers) regardless of map size.
Although the formulas can be quite complex, there is always a hard cap for a given game state (but if the game state changes, like the AI enters a war, or it gains more cities, the "hard" cap might be raised, so it's not exactly a hard cap but the # units trained is capped in some formulamatic way, typically such that the AI will train a max of "X" units per city).
