A very nice bit of backdoor Apo-dom!
One thing I miss from your report is any detail about Judaism. I assume Justinian founded it, but did he spam it around, or just get (un)lucky with the spread?
EDIT: A spy provoked revolt would have sped the fall of Oporto, btw.

Hmm, so far not only do we have each report founding in a different location, but also on a different turn. How long can we keep this up?

Great scott, that's the best hut luck I have ever seen! Another example of the broken corporation expense.

The color scheme was horrid...I have the eyes of an olm and there just wasn't enough contrast between the background and your text. I was able to persevere however, as the report was excellent and funny (witch hunt!) as usual.

I didn't build any spies, and the spy provoked revolt seems a little abusive to me. Might be one thing if there was a spy mission to reduce defenses, but my understanding is that not only does it eliminate defenses it damages all of the defending units due to revolt. But it would have been a lot more efficient than chucking rocks for a hundred years.
As for Judaism, Willem founded it, and spread it around. Justinian was Buddhist in my game.
And, interestingly enough, the only non Khmer civ I spread Judaism to was the Portugese, who had already built the AP (but had lost of their Jewish cities somehow ). So I don't feel like I abused the AP voting.

Nice cultural victory Swiss...despite the same leader, start, war with the witch, and finish date as Blake, the games read differently. Its amazing how moving the settler east vs. west changed the path.

Since this event doesnât come up until youâve built a granary, the net effect is that building a granary slowed down my growth, at least for now. Sometimes I guess itâs just better to let food pile up in the streets or something.
You founded where I would have put my first city, and where Swiss put his second city. Blake's decision to found on the Elephants to the NE seems odd at first due to losing the Fish, but he ended up with a strong production capital which netted him several wonders. It isn't clear to me from the end result which was the best move, I guess not enough of a sample size .
How nice was it to win a religious victory with the number of the beast?

P.S. I couldn't read the text of the event from epic1310bestwishes.jpg, do you happen to remember what it was?

The spy revolt doesn't damage troops, and he can be caught, so it's not quite as overpowered as it might seem.
Willem did the same thing with Hinduism in my game, but he also snagged the AP, too.

Unfortunately, my notes and pictures were lost (very long and frustrating story, but we'll skip that part), so I'm going strictly by memory. I won't make a whole new thread, since this should be very quick:
I'll admit, I probably stared at the screen for twenty minutes trying to figure out where in the world to put my capital. In hindsight, I should've gone further east by the ivory, but I founded 1E of the starting spot (1S of the cows). I expanded to about 3 cities or so, and took down Hammurabi who seemed to be struggling early on for some reason (I now know he was a Noble AI), and he was the most obvious target. I started building swords, then realized Hammurabi's UU has an archer with a melee bonus... I stuck with the attack anyway, and took him out, although I was delayed slightly because of high casualties (he stuck a city on a hill, so that got bloody), but he did die quickly. My next goal was to catch up my economy and tech to maces/cats/ballista elephants and go after Justinian, which went pretty smoothly. The war with Justinian went on for a long time, and the AI was extremely impressive during this war especially (great work Blake!), and it caught me off guard numerous times, especially with the large shared border we had (Justinian claimed cities on the west and east coast, so we shared a border straight across the entire continent). I eventually slogged my way all the way up to Constantinople and captured it, leaving him with only two cities stranged by Dutch culture, so I let him Capitulate and vassalized him, since if I captured those cities they would flip to the Dutch because of the annoying cultural bugs... My goal all along was to try out the new space race, and I did so, and ended up winning the space race sometime in the late 1930s (I wish I knew the exact date, sorry).
Thoughts:
1. Inflation is totally broken, it was screwing with my game a bit, especially towards the end because I did found one corporation in the very late game (I delayed it because I knew it was a problem from reading, but I still wanted to try it).
2. Colony Expenses is a completely horrible idea, and because of it I've been playing strictly pangaea... Worst addition to the game bar-none
3. The AI is vastly improved in just about every area of the game. Like people have pointed out, it is vulnerable to super-early rushes, but as a result starts better (it plays more human in that sense, which I'm fine with since I don't typically rush because it feels cheap). Especially in the late game I was surprised that the AI did a decent job of keeping pace even though I had far more land than anyone else...
A really fun game overall, I just wish I still had my notes and screenies... thanks Sullla for putting this one together and Griselda for emailing out the saves!
