Just checking - the 10% from State Property affects food, while "doubled" Granary, Harbor, Temples and +25% worker production from our traits still works as normal?

All correct, timmy. SP literally says "+10% hammers", while the others say "Double production speed".

No it's not a Final Frontier game, but the inspiration came from FF, both in the theme and mechanics. City growth comes so slow in FF, in part because 4 food is the maximum planet yield. I started wishing the 6-commerce yellow planets could be 6 food instead, and somehow things connected into this game.

Some RB newb questions:

Where do I save the start file?

Do I just load the mod, and go to scenario/custom scenario?

You should be able to just put the save anywhere, and double-click it to load Civ 4 BTS with it. Civ 4 should automatically load the mod when it loads the save.

The normal location for saves is My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Saves\Single .

Turns out if you have BUG installed also, despite the game looking and playing like vanilla, it still messes with a few screens and causes them not to work.

This is a brilliant variant -- with so many of the standard rules-of-thumb out the door, playing is going to require some real thinking. Almost like playing a new game
