Name everything after moogles!

You could do what I tried in PBEM3 - I just opened up my iTunes library and have been naming them alphabetically after song titles.
Any idea on a tech path?

Early tech path will probably be AH, Mining, BW, Wheel, Pottery. After that, writing, IW and Monarchy are all tempting, but it's still to early to decide between them yet.
I think I've got a naming theme now. And no it's not moogles.

Ah well, it was worth a shot.

I just want a theme that means I don't have to look up something every time I plant a city. I've got that, but I've decided I'll rename the starting quechua after a Moogle (and maybe all other quechuas I ever build too). Is there a good list of Moogle names anywhere?

I nominate Mogrika, the most beautiful moogle in Gaia.

In FFVI, there's a small group of moogles who aid you in the beginning of the game. Aside from Mog (who can become a full group member later on), there's Kuku, Kutan, Kupan, Kushu, Kuru, Kurin, Kamog, Kupek, Kupop and Kumama.
That should take a while to go through, unless you intend for a large MP Quecha force?

I think 11 names will be enough for a while.
Funnily enough, I may very well go for a large Quechua MP force if I have a safe position. One thing that works with UU's is that is there is a unit which replaces it, you can still build it. Most of the time, this is irrelevant (since you want to build the best units anyway) but Quechua's can be built even if you can build axes and spears (but not maces and pikes, that's too far) so they make good MP.

First things first. scooter, SleepingMoogle and Jowy, here is your cookie:
Now then, onto turn 2.
Mogrika moves W onto the hill:
Excellent, Mogrika can curve around the lake (which is 11 tiles big...) and see what is in my somewhat Jungleless North. Will have to hope that some good stuff is up there.
I've got quite a bit of jungle and now spices in addition to banana, so calendar and IW will be high priority (good for the Mausoleum).
Time to begin failing at C&D.
OK, going through each category (at least for this turn, anything from next turn onwards will just be for changes).
GNP: I'm 4th with 18. Since I am first in the turn order, that means I lose all ties (basically, whoever win ties is practically the opposite of the turn order). That means that there is GNP's of 16, 18, 18 and 19 for my opponents. I'm not CRE, but i am working on AH which gets a pre-req modifier (hence my 18 ). Since 2 civs are CRE, an early guess is that only 1 other civ is working on a tech with a pre-req. Could be an early religion or AH or BW, can't really tell. The others 3 are probably working on one of the starting 6 techs, most likely agriculture. Kinda useless info but ah well.
Prod and food: It looks like one person is working a 2/1 tile while the rest of us are working 3/0 tiles. No idea who though.
Power: heh, I'm last because I don't start with mining or wheel while everyone else has at least one of them
Land: I'm 3rd while having 8 tiles. Which means that at least 2 people have at least 8 tiles. Which makes the initial configuration 9,9,6,6 or 9,8,7,6. I think the latter for balance reasons but who knows? (why would 2 people have no sea and 2 people have 3 sea?). I can expect water to be reasonably common on this map (although my own lake is fairly small anyway).
Pop, approval rate, exports: blah
Life Expectancy: I'm tied for last despite being expansive. While that Jungle does give me +1 unhealthy, it looks like the other civs don't have that constraint (the person im tied with probably isn't EXP), and probably have fresh water or lots of trees (Tatan... ![rolleye rolleye](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rolleye.gif) ).

MOAR JUNGLE!!!!
Plan is to go NW around the lake.
Also got a border pop at the end of the turn:
Ohhhh, a corn up there, very nice.
C&D for this turn:
Shoot and Silent both got a border pop. Since the minimum is 7, that means that the initial 9 tile land config is 9,8,7,6:
Quote:Land: I'm 3rd while having 8 tiles. Which means that at least 2 people have at least 8 tiles. Which makes the initial configuration 9,9,6,6 or 9,8,7,6
OK, so the largest land area is 20, smallest is 7 and the total is 53 (average x4). That means that the 2 civs that are 2nd are 3rd in land are on either 9 and 15 or 8 and 16 (i'll probably know better next turn).
