We just watch. And Judge. FFH PBEM III Lurker Thread.

Interesting situation as Nyktorion finds WarriorKnights undefended capital... He can't see inside, but he could kill it in a single turn.

I'm wondering if WarriorKnight will be forced to either use Sanctuary or be eliminated.. rough break for him if so.

I'm not sure what I'd be doing as Nyktorion, but I think his plan of "Hoping he tells me whether his capital is undefended" is kind of ludicrously optimistic. lol

Nyk seems like too nice of a guy to rush someone so early in a game. Which is to his detriment, but will make for a more interesting game in the long run.

Wait, I might take back what I posted about ten hours ago. If I got that message from Warrior Knight, I'd declare so quick it would make his head spin. A chance to make him waste his totally awesome world spell? Hell yeah! Warrior Knight's "I'll only target you forever" threat is entirely empty- this is FFH, he's going to target Nyk eventually regardless if he plans to win anytime this year. Heck, I'd even tell him that I'd be willing to negotiate, and then kill him anyway- after all, who's going to know?

Edit: Reading the threads again, WK's email was even more poorly thought out than I initially assumed. Can Nyk's scout even see into the Elohiem capital, with those forests in the way? If not, he just gave the guy the only information that could induce him to attack.

He actually told the elves his capital was undefended when they couldn't see inside duh This could potentially be the most embarrassing end to a civ game ever if Nyktorion doesn't want to play nice

I think we're going to see sanctuary being used. Ironically enough, I think if Warrior Knight didn't have sanctuary he wouldn't have sent such an aggressive and revealing email and thus would probably have not needed to use it.

People just refuse to kill off Warrior Knight! That's two people now who have walked up to an undefended capital, learned that it was undefended, and then done absolutely nothing about it.

If this is how lenient people are going to be then he doesn't even need a military.

Haha came in here basically to say exactly this.... both units were scouts too and didn't have to worry that they'd enter his borders, get kicked out by sanctuary, and then make a permanent enemy. They could've seen he didn't cast it and walked right in, either would've taken is capital in one fell swoop.

I'm all for being friendly but I think I want to see a little more bloodlust than this.

Ah-HAH! Irgy found a goblin fort with three goblin archers inside- and the map was loaded three times for editing, right? I think my rationale for the crazy replicating fort goblins still holds smile

The map was loaded for editing much more than three times. lol I also checked all the goblin forts on the last edit to make sure nothing weird had happened. So this has nothing to do with bugs. Not sure why the fort would build another archer, but I am unfamiliar with how these forts work anyway.

I cant believe neither player asked for anything to let him live. I would at least have asked for a loan of palace mana at some future date
