Emulating Sir Robin: How to run away on Horseback

And they're off!

Nothing interesting in the fog except reagents, and it's impossible to get those in the same BFC as the superior incense.

I take a glance at the event log and...

Acheron being preplaced is not much of a surprise, and Brigit managed to avoid dying. Grigori probably have the best shot of getting to the level required to release her, you need something around 30-40 more EXP than the 100 EXP hero cap to release her. Not really important at this point.

Also you might have noticed the lack of a starting settler bonus. Makes settling in place simple enough.

Dream is founded, set to build a worker, and research is started on...

Agriculture?!

Yeah, for some reason my starting tech is ancient chants. What I think happened is that Ravus swapped some of the start locations around or turn orders for time zones and forgot to change techs. Gonna send him a PM, I'll pass on the save if this is intentional. Bah, wanna get this game going already! :[

Not sure how those starting techs could have gotten swapped....ugh. Hopefully Ravus can fix it quickly.

This is what happens when someone like me messes around with the worldbuilder in a word file. I'm sure there was a better way to swap the turn order to what was needed but i didn't know one. I missed swapping two of the techs around. The Hippus got the Elohim Chants and they got your agri.

Yes i'm a fool. I quickly re-edited the file and resent the 1st turn to Rawkking. *sigh* sorry guys

smile No worries Ravus. Stuff happens sometimes.

Thanks for the quick fix.

Turn replayed, units moved the same as before. Civ name changed and password set. I was somewhat tempted to rename my capital "Camelot" but I decided not to for the time being.

So bug mod is not allowed, but I *have* noticed people placing notices like "Spider here" and "1T chop" in their games. Is there a way to do that without mods? They seem a bit too detailed to be paint doodles!

I don't know if it works on every computer but pressing Alt+S Brings up the ability place signs i believe.

Plus if you zoom out completly there is an in game paint system on the tactical view button. You can used that to dot map if need be. I don't know the official names of these things but i'm sure one of the others does.

Glad to see the game afoot :-) hope you enjoy the start and that this is the only stumble.

"On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place"

To place signs in-game press "alt + s". You'll get a green tile shaped cursor. Left click on the square that you want your sign on and then enter text in the box that will appear.

To remove a sign, press "alt + s" and left click on the sign you want to remove.

To cancel sign making mode without placing a sign, right click anywhere.

You can draw lines on the map by zooming out to the point where clouds appear. In the lower right hand corner of the screen a button will appear which will allow you to enable the "strategy layer" which allows you to draw lines and place signs within the game. The line drawing feature isn't great as it can't be used while zoomed in, but it is an option.

If you go to your option and to the Graphics tab - I beleive there is a tick box called "detailed city view" If you tick it then your city bars show how many turns until growth and completion of current build. Makes you screenshots more interesting for us! wink
