The invasion of Leif is over.
I banned the spambot as soon as I logged onto the forums this morning. Before that, the account was active for about five hours and posted over 190 (!!!) times. I had dozens and dozens of reported posts, and that was only scratching the surface of how many spambot posts there were in all. The administrator tools allow you to delete up to 25 posts at once, and it still took me about 15 minutes to get all of the spam removed. I'm somewhat impressed at just how destructive this one spambot managed to be. With all that said, we definitely need to adjust the security settings here on the forums. There have been several spambots in the past few days; obviously someone out there has cracked whatever system is being used for Realms Beyond. I have no idea how to do that - someone with a lot more understanding of forum software needs to take another look at this.
