So, Darrell, are you still around? Any thoughts? Questions? Uber chillness to spread around?

I've moved offices, and I'm now located at one where Realms Beyond is banned. Updates will be only in the evenings, therefore. Good news: More pictures! Bad news: less reports total.

Gotta post something, we're at the bottom of the subforum! Hmm...naming scheme. I'm thinking ice cream flavors. Mildly thematic, easy to come up with on the spur of the moment, thousands out there if we get really big.

Hi Mardoc. I'd like to ded-lurk you this game if you'll have me. I didn't want to post on this account to prevent screwing up while the werewolf game was still going on, and I've been out of town since. Ice cream flavors seems like a good scheme, maybe flavors for units, ice cream shops or brands for cities?

Happy to have you, Azarius. I definitely understand taking care with werewolf ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) .
I don't usually bother to name my units, just the cities. If I have to pick one, I'd prefer flavors to brands, I think.

Ah, okay. It makes sense if it's just cities to go with flavors for them, much more variety and fun kinds of names ![yup yup](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/yup.gif) . I'm curious why stasis is banned, is it a balance issue, or more just because it's horribly unfun for everyone else?

I'm personally of the opinion that it's not really, but it can't escape the problem of a week and a half of boredom for the other players, so we'll never know for sure.

So it looks like this is finally getting underway ![dancing dancing](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/dancing5.gif) . Did you get a screenshot of your start, or have to wait until you get the save?

You know as much as I do, unfortunately. Still...only Molach and Suttree between me and the save, it'll probably be in by Tuesday at the latest.

First thought: looks obvious, settle in place, head toward Calendar with worker-first.
Second thought: but I'm tired. Maybe there's something smarter, less obvious, if I look at this again in the morning. And give my dedlurker a chance to weigh in, too.
Third thought: well, you can at least scout a bit before you sleep, Mardoc

Sorry about the screenshot, I was still editing and then forgot how long the first turn would take. Sorry

Ended up settling in place. Could have saved a day if I'd been more confident.
Plan is exceedingly simple: build a worker, research agriculture -> Calendar, grow to happy cap (9ish with sugar and silk). I'm definitely sending at least one warrior out to pillage and explore, possibly both of them.
Vamps already hit their worldspell. So we're already behind!
