So guess we could do civstats instead of the custom portal? Is one better than the other?

I think it has more to do with like, we have ten million versions of the map, plus we were sending it bakc and forth and also copying it over from our workarea to the worldbuilder save directory, etc. So I think I probably set the world size at 5am and then forgot to copy the file over or something.

I see you've not yet learned the lesson to never call any file "final"... lol

Bah ... he still as the 'final final' to go.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Anyone wants to take a stab at a guess as to why I'm not able to log in and play?

Single player works fine.
When I try to connect to this game I sometimes manage to get past the stage where I pick a civ and enter the password, but during setup I get an in game error message of "The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets in your mod folder have not been changed" and a few milliseconds later it shuts down civ.
Sometimes I don't get to even select civ, but civ shuts down and there's a Runtime Error message.
One time I got a message of it being some problem with ATs firewall (presumably while he was playing).

I thought it might be something with me having messed up the natneg changes in the hosts files so replaced the whole civ4beyondsword exe-file, but no real change.

Any ideas? (and please talk as if I am a complete moron when it comes to computer stuff)

(Just to clarify: von Adlercreutz is able to play so this doesn't stop our team in any way atm, but on a personal level it'd be much nicer)

First guess is your mod isn't installed correctly. Make sure when you extracted the RtR 3.0.0.4.zip file that you don't end up with a folder inside that folder named the same thing. You should only have an Assets folder after unpacking. The path should go ./MODS/RtR 3.0.0.4/Assets

And the mod has to go under program files ... not under my docs.

To the best of my knowledge it's installed correctly. Inside my MODS folder I've got several iterations of rtr, but when opening the RtR Mod 3.0.0.4 folder I've only got an "Assets" folder and two tiny files at 1kb each.
(and as I said, I have no trouble running the mod in SP)

This seems more likely to be the reason as I'm found my path rather strange.

Currently I'm running mods through something like: C:/users/my docs/my games/bts/mods (and that works fine in SP)
while the actual game exe-file is at something like: C:/windows.old/users/program files/2K Games/Firaxis/SidMCiv4comp/
(but if I put the mod in the mods file the second place it doesn't even show up when trying to load a mod)
