Logging on and off is a waste of time. I check the forum most days so it's far easier to stay logged in.

It doesn't stick out because others don't play like you. I'm closer in activity/obsession to you, and still am generally logged in any number of times when I don't/won't check the thread: everything from other games to reading up on some mod-related thing to following political discussion (less on RB, admittedly).

And sometimes when I am reading the thread I still don't want to post. Maybe some hidden info is involved. Maybe I want to check up on earlier aspects and get a firm sense on what I'm reading. Maybe I just don't have time to post adequately.

Annd yeah, sometimes I'm doing it tactically as scum. But honestly, that's the minority.

And we had this discussion like 6 years ago. It's settled policy, not some quirk of my modding. I don't want to have to go offline just for werewolf, so please. Just don't look. I never do.

Plus what Adrien said. I never log off.

In my case, I don't like the default color scheme for reading, even though it's pretty. RB only displays non-default if you log in first. Therefore even if I have only five minutes, and want to just read the latest post in the XCOM thread, I'll be logged in and show up as active.

Not that it matters since I don't play WW anymore, but other people probably think like me.

I deliberately turned my status visible on another forum and openly lurked games all the time as town, just to troll those who like to hunt like that tongue

I've read posts here that logging-in without posting/reading now makes sense. I don't see how you can ignore "Mr. Green Dot" though...it's so bright and green and shinny. I wasn't even playing in the game and it still got me. The first thing I do when reading a post is to read that guy's name and what do you know what's next to it? If you were to move the green dot somewhere else we would be super though. smile

FYI as I've said before I've retired from RB werewolf (too stressful to play with a job).

You wouldn't know since I use "invisible mode", but like half the time I'm logged into the forum I'm not even at a PC or on my phone, I just have the site up in a tab somewhere which I never bothered to close out.

Ahahaha.

I admit that's part of why I don't hide myself. And why I post my passwords in PBEM threads. It's a demonstration of trust in fellow members.

Someone willing to be spoiled happy to handle EoD for me?
