Zap is a SOUND
Frequently made by a RAY gun
Which are often used by ALIENs
Or mounted on a Tie FIGHTER
Which has Luke Skywalker as a PILOT
Lots of energy weapons fire BOLTs of energy

The other possibility is a bug zapper, which plugs into the WALL and could be used at a PARK I guess.

I like SOUND, RAY, ALIEN, BOLT in that order.

A BOLT of lightning zaps things.
Same goes for a death RAY. Wielded by an ALIEN perhaps?
A zap has a distinctive bzzt SOUND, and zap itself might be used as a sound effect in a comic book.
Electrofishing involves FISH getting zapped and stunned.

EDIT: After reading Dave's spoilers, I like his list but would put BOLT higher.

You could make a case for some other words, but those seem strongest?

After reading spoilers:
Somehow missed SOUND. I suppose I associate Zap more with the energy beam than the sound it makes.
But it is a distinct sound!

My preference would be RAY -> BOLT -> SOUND -> ALIEN.
