Also, one of the CtH changes is that you can build obsolete UUs.

Is it? I though that was just unique buildings...

I actually did a check in the WB, and could still build bowmen after adding all medieval techs.

OK, neat!

Edit: although I guess that means I can't queue-upgrade from a pre-built Bowmen.

Did you give yourself Iron in the test? XBows do require the resource, and units never obsolete until the relevant replacement units are actually buildable; they don't obsolete with the tech as such.

Yeah, that probably explains it.

T124 & T125 -

Andrei Sakharov arrives and kicks off a Fishy Golden Age:

Doing double duty as revolt tracker and GA-Moai porn. Incidental foreign news that greenline's GA is likely due soon and Gav & SD have each earned a General.

I did some unscientific playing with research percentages in the tech screen and I'm reasonably sure I can make it to CS during the Golden Age as long as I go straight there through CoL. Dialed that in to catch the overflow and then saved gold. My Worker force which is mostly in the North and finished chopping the Jungles last turn in anticipation of Calendar are now set to work Farming the Dyes to help Perch & Trout grow in the absence of anything better to do.

GA Serfdom is quite nice even with just Farms.  nod

I sent Gingac the mentioned Corn-Corn / War w/Ljubljana- War w/greenline. I then made the mistake of putting EPs against them T124 so they lost view of my tech; realised this on T125 and zeroed that spend back towards greenline so they can reclaim view when they want.

I also had a chop in place to 1t the Jewish Missionary from Anchovy:

I'll switch out the Library for the second Temple next turn since I want to get as many Prophet points doubled during the GA as possible. Code of Laws will just complete this turn after which I can confirm Civil Service timing and whether I can slip a Worker tech (MC?) in before grabbing it. I do have a couple of Wealth builds in queue to preserve overflow to go into Courthouses - time to get that ORG bonus working!

#1 in food since Superdeath has been on a bit of a whipping spree. Gingac's Prod is pretty scary, but their GNP has come down a notch now they're not propping it up with as many Wealth builds. Though my neighbours have been about as lax as I have, I need to keep an eye for a spike in Soldiers.
