T184:
No cities lost this turn, yay!
All thanks to one brave Scout:
Spies stole treasury from us.
My request for Iron and Spices from UniCiv was met. These guys are really good.
Our pillaging party in WPC lands keeps wrecking tiles. A Cat stack WPC brought in from the norht is no threat yet, as WPC is miles away from Engineering for 3-moves. I hope to be in forest for 50% defense when the Cat stack finally reaches our still injured troops.
Next turn we are going to lose all remaining core cities plus Catherine.
Leaving us with the three cities in the ice.
CFC Trireme threatening our exodus. This could get nasty.
Apolyton lands:
In other news, CivFr has hardly done much in T183 and completely missed T184. Not sure what's up there. I hope its not the hardcore multiplayer mindset of "can't win, lets walk away" alà PAL.

T185:
Game is finally back up.
As expected we lost four cities, leaving us with three ice cities.
Unexpected, WPC wiped out our pillaging party.

Our defenders at Foal Point took out three cannons before going down.
Here is the land split:
CFC will take Winter Wasteland on T187.
Generla Zhukov and another Rifle are currently being ferried over and there is hope that the galley can evacuate two more units from Winter Wasteland, unless CFC's Trireme shows up.
CFC landed one Knight at Jack Frost. And a Spy maybe?
Knowing our luck with the RNG I dry-whipped a Scout to prevent the city to fall to a one in a million dice roll. With the potential to dry whip another Scout after that we can delay the Knight until the first to refugee Rifles arrive.
With this "strategy" I think we can hold out until T190 at least.
Unfortunately with the loss of our core we will not be able to send that much money to UnivCiv anymore.
The game loads on my laptop, so no pause needed.

T187:
Last battle on the mainland, while defending Winter Wasteland:
Splendid Isolation denies capture by Civplayers by whipping Scouts.
The empty galley will try to extract on (still to be whipped) Spy from Splendid Isolation.
Enemy galleys and triremes are in the area.
Meanwhile CFC has pulled out the sole Knight again near Jack Frost.
We have 5 Rifles on that island, including General Zhukov.
If they land only one galley load at a time, I will try to kill units before they can get reinforced.
That way they will have to invest into new galleys to make sure they ship over an army in one go.
The slider is also set to produce culture, to give Jack Frost one more border pop in 4 turns.
Since there is still some fog left south of our islands, we don't get any trade routes with UnivCiv.

That's what I am thinking.
T190:
Currently CFC has one galley en-route.
The whipped worker is supposed to road a few tiles, to allow the Rifles to hit any disembarking CFC stack of two and deny them assembling a force on our island. General Zhukov is the only two mover we have.
That should force them to land forces with more than one galley, buying us time and letting the War Weariness do its work.
We should have a Trireme in the water in two turns as well, hoping to intercept one galley.
At least that's the overall plan. Watch us lose General Zhukov to a bad dice roll.
We also have one single spy left, that makes its way to the CFC coast opposite our island, to scout for their embarking troops.
With the cultural slider we got Jack Frost's borders popped last turn as well, for increased defense and extended spotting.
I think we might be good for another 5 turns!

T191:
CFC landed a Grenadier and a Knight at the north corner of our island.
Obviously we have to attack them before they can get reinforced. So 2 mover General Zhukov goes in at 69% ...
... and loses!
It really becomes frustrating to lose all the important dice rolls!
This has been the most important battle for us.
The Spy revealed that CFC has no 2nd galley at the moment and needs to invest into infrastructure to shuffle troops our way. Cannons and Grenadiers.
Their surviving Grenadier has 1.9 strength but possibly gained a promotion to heal.
We have two Muskets next to it and one Musket covering the roading worker.
Our Trireme gets whipped next turn. If we could sink their galley ...
Meanwhile WPC lost their first city to Civplayers. (Fields of Color)

After General Zhukov died at 69.5% odds, CFC landed two more Grenadiers.
I attacked with the two Rifles next to it, losing both battles as 65%!
Now this is really frustrating after all those turns trying to play for extended survival.
If we had won those last three battles, I am pretty sure we would have lasted 10 more turns, and would have spawned another GG!
Now its more like 3-4 turns.

T193:
Not much to say really.
CFC attacked us with the Knight, which we beat.
I think they evacuated two of the low health, promoted Grenadiers back to the galley and fled west with the remaining.
I decided not to pursue it with one of the last two Riflemen, we have available, considering our RNG luck recently.
Our Trireme entered the sea, not attacking the CFC Trireme (+10% coast +10% C1).
Whipping another Trireme next turn.
