Well I've been playing high risk, high reward, by settling the high food sites before the strategic resources. I figure you gotta take some risks if you want to beat Seven.
Also, when copper showed up in the most inconvenient spot ever I was already too keen on the juicy sites. It's such a shame to let reality ruin a beautiful micro plan.
I have to run.

Nicolae got another War Chariot. Dunno which city, I'd guess the capital and that he's alternating. He also grew both cities (cap to 6, city2 to 2).
Serdoa built the Oracle in his capital (why couldn't Nicolae be picking on him?) and grew his capital to size 4. He also planted a new city for 4 extra tiles of land.
Mackoti researched another tech, I'm guessing Fishing coz it's small & he only got a tech last turn. And built another Quechua. (Probably, take with large pinches of salt).

Nico also cleverly moved his warrior in a way that delayed my workers up north. So I'll either have to delay copper until t40 or settle on the copper.
I think Beach Ball is lost either way, his war chariots should be there in time to kill capture the city or at the very least pillage the road to the city.
I have to run.

Nico is to the south, the borders of his second city are just visible on the southern edge of the hill you can see in the southernmost bit of the screeny.

Nicolae has built no more War Chariots. In fact nothing has happened for him, but he's moved 2 of the WCs up to near Beach Ball
Seven grew his capital to size 4, and got a tech and 2k soldier points, probably Hunting. Edit significantly afterwards: No, it can't've been Hunting because I reckon he got that back on his T31. He also didn't get 2k soldier points, he got 1k soldier points which is accounted for by his pop increase. So his tech must be something else and will tentatively assign that as Masonry but that's a total guess.
Serdoa got 2 techs, one of them Classical era - looks like he Oracled Metal Casting and finished Hunting same turn (there are other possibilities but that's my favourite guess).
Mackoti grew his second city to size 2.
(And in other news I have a solution for every one of those puzzle levels , but not always the most elegant one. Guess what I've spent a large chunk of my day doing )
