[SPOILERS] Lewger goes for the Bigwyn

another option: NW, SW to hit the hill just above the gold. that would allow us to go NE, NW the following turn

only 4 teams have played so we have plenty of time, I'm gonna let Lewwyn play a turn wink. But I did log in to grab some mid-turn demos:

and we have barbarians! our scout has survived a wolf attack on flatland with 0.7 health. he now has 1 exp point. we need to get him to a hill to heal.

commodore, scooter, brick, and merhoc have played their turn already:

Ah, he got 2000 soldiers too, so it's either Mining, Sailing or AH. I'll guess AH for now.

Well I'm going to send the scout southwest and the either west or NW depending on what I see.

Either sounds good to me

well that's intertesting. Another continent over there that we can reach thanks to that peak. hmm.

If the plan is to move the scout NE, NW be sure to stop and heal him first, in case we find more lions or wolves.

Or you could move him NE, N now and heal on the forest (better defensive bonus than hill).

So I played 2 turns as that will help speed the game up. I moved onto the forest, saw nothing but the waters edge in the fog and decided to risk it and move on to even safer terrain:

So you can see we're faced with a small dilemna. Do we keep moving the injured scout or rest him safely on this forested hill? If we get him to that grasshill across the water we'll defog all the water tiles in the NW and W.

At home we get our worker EOT:

Cool.

I didn't get demos so feel free to get in there to C&D.

I don't think its much of a dilemma. Let him heal. we aren't going to be expanding west into the tundra for awhile anyway, 2 turns of not scouting won't hurt us much. I strongly suspect we are going to hit a dead-end before too long anyway, so I don't think we'll have any competition for any huts that might be there.

back at HQ, we've got one more turn (worker -> E onto GRF) before we have some decisions to make. Would be nice play around with some sims. Would either of our dedlurkers be interested/have time this weekend to make me a sandbox? shiftybiggrin :beg:

I'm thinking something like farm the wheat first, move back to the rivergrassland, chop it, let hammers fall into worker (while growing with warrior other turns)... then farming the rice, chopping out settler with both workers, and squeezing cottages and a mine on the fur in there somewhere. But I need to play with it smile.

here's a fun pic from my SP game. Something to look forward to as the dutch... oh, 8 months from now or so wink.

Slowcat got a tech t13, given that they started with agri and the wheel I'm thinking it's pottery rather than fishing or mysticism.

Nothing at all happened t14!

You could heal the scout where he is or 1N, which would reveal territory slightly earlier, I don't think it matters.

No sandbox from me I'm afraid - haven't figured out how to do those properly yet - has anyone got a link to a sandbox building primer?
