[spoilers] The what goes where?

Turn 52 - 1920 BC

Here are the horses ... and here are the unit movements ...

This also locks in where the Cambridge settler is going ... to the puke colored city on our latest dot map (see below) - Wompatuck Start Park (name might be too long).

Our Woodie I warrior has found a wolf pack ... a full str wolf (see below) plus one that we saw last turn that moved to one of the tiles indicated. Both can hit the warrior but the odds are pretty good (Warrior Str 2, +90% v 2 x Wolf Str 1, one half HPs). It will be rotten luck if he is killed. The other down side is that he will only get 2XP (combined) from the battles and will still be 1 short of the magic 5XP Woodie II combo.

Here is Lynn in the north - the destination of the Boston settler. It needs a WB (out of Boston) but it will not be an option for 10 turns while we wait for the half Cultural trait to kick in. This city will start the process of maturing cottages. It will probably steal Cambridge's Sheep on a Hill for a while too.

Here are the micro plans for Boston and Cambridge for the next few turns. I should be back late Friday night for T56 ... or the late running T55.

Boston
T53: Tiles = 500, 041, 041 Builds WB (14h), Food (6)
T54: Tiles = 500, 041, 041 Builds WB (24h), Food (7)
T55: Tiles = 500, 041, 041 Settler (46h), Food (8)

Cambridge
T53: Tiles = 500, 211 Builds Warrior (4h), Food (21)
T54: Tiles = 500, 211, 120 Builds Settler (40h), Food (2)
T55: Tiles = 500, 211, 120 Builds Settler (50h), Food (2)

Tech is Pottery for all three turns.

WB out of Boston nets crabs (not needed straight away - I thought it was)

Warrior out of city
T53: remains in forest
T54: covers worker on horse tile
T55: covers worker on horse tile
Note for T54 and 55 ... if nothing can hit the worker on the horse tile, then feel free to guard from existing location and heal.

Workers
Chopping workers chop.
North roading worker
T53: roads
T54: puts 1 road turn into 'r?' tile
T55: puts 1 road turn into tile NW of Boston (between Boston and copper)
South roading worker
T53: roads
T54: roads horse tile
T55: roads horse tile

Turn 53 - 1880 BC

I was wrong in my guess re where the other wolf was ...

He must have run away because the fully str wolf attacked and the half str wolf decided to come back (he was standing next to my warrior on the future location of WSP). This meant that I could attack him. Not much difference in either outcome (4XP and down 21HPs) ...

Here is a question for you ... Boston will finish a settler soon. It is heading to Lynn. Given the road situation below and following the red line, can my settler make it to the tile with the worker ... or will it not have the required movement points?

As I understand it, it will cost 0.5 movement points for the first tile (road), 1 pt for the second tile (no road) leaving 0.5 pts for the last tile. Is that right?

But thats the wrong dot! 'puke' is obviously the lighter green color south east of boston. (It's apparent you're a parent when...)

Thanks for the confirmation.

Nono it isn't the wrong green dot. The Boston settler is going north. The Cambridge settler is going to puke dot. The settlers are due to finish T55 & T56 (or +1 or so).

T54:

Trying to follow the instructions.
Seems Boston is a bit off. The WB there is at 22/30 not 24. Still finishes next turn.
Ballsed up the healing of the horse-covering warrior. (read the comment too late). He can heal not while sitting on top of horse. And getting fortify bonus. Yeah, right, intended that from the start!

Q gets Agriculture next turn.

That is a big issue. I need those hammer overflows to finish the Boston settler. The Boston tiles should be city (2h), corn (0), 2 x plains hill mines (8) for 10h per turn. I did put one turn on spices (2h) for the extra commerce (to finish AH). Did I not swap off that last turn? Shit!

Can you post a screenshot of Boston for us?

Answer: No I did not swap off the 121 tile to the 041 tile - you can see the little citizen hut on the spices above.

Gees I hope that doesn't crap all over my Boston micro. And extra turn to finish the settler is a turn not growing. I won't know until I get home to the spreadsheet on my home PC.

Can you (mh) or a lurker log into the game and check the Boston tile allocation. It should be 500 (food, hammer, commerce), 041 and 041.
