So, what's your path to victory? Goals for the next x number of turns? Plan to ban Xenu for posting negativity about my alleged inability to properly use a search engine? Thoughts on the mod?

Path To Victory:
![]() .0001% chance all major powers engage in total war, leaving me to hit legendary in three cities. I will likely get scooped on Sistine because that's whats happened with every other wonder I've tried. Brief ModTalk: I'll try and put some thoughts together about the positions for other people. These mod thoughts will largely be in the context of my position. AGRI - Enables faster starts and crazy amounts of food early on, when you are largely working your premium tiles. Perhaps not as overpowered as I had thought initially, since during the mid-game it's relative effect has petered out, certainly a PROD- Also enables faster starts with the boosts. An extremely early game focused trait. I'm not sure that the 50% bonus is that far off where it should be, given the minimal benefit it is currently providing in the mid-game, what with about 20-25 tiles currently receiving the bonus. An extra 20-25 base hammers per turn is not too great at this stage of the game. Toku - AGRI/PROD - This combo lends itself to and demands a fast start. We started out very fast here, getting a PROD-boosted WB out very fast to hook up a AGRI-boosted fish tile. PROD made India playable what with making the more expensive FWs easier to build. India put us on a fast track to religion, which has had decent benefits for us. We got off to a pretty fast start. I don't think we had any real contest to land a religion, but the early boosts to foodhammers and faster chops enabled some pretty fast settling. Also allowed settlers to be sent to the far reaches of the land. This caused a pretty severe death spiral for the economy, which the delay of currency didn't really help. A better player would have prioritized currency earlier. Getting caught in a spiral prevented further expansion and snowballing. I'm playing from behind here since I didn't secure a land advantage earlier. This map, however, really limited my options for meaningful expansion (i.e. something more than an island), short of slamming millions of knights into Gawdzak and the choky nature of our land connection. AGRI does enable a few extra pop here and there, about 1-3 extra food per city, which is no joke. The change to 1f per 4 pop seems to emulate the current status of my mid-game which, while beneficial, doesn't enable any sort of quick start or really, much at all. What does it let you do? Early game. With the BTS-style whip, you're going to be hanging around 2-6 pop in most of your cities in the early expansion phase, that extra food doesn't apply until pop 4. Then it doesn't really help you when you're at the high end of your happy cap and about to 3-pop whip, thus losing your extra food. (Interlude: I'm not sure how exactly the new bonus works, if you receive 1f at 4, 8, 12, etc. or 1f at 1, 5, 9 etc.) Extra food is great, but I think that change, if that's how it is, forces you to abstain from whipping and secure lots of early happy to grow your cities for the bonus. 1-3 extra food pet city compared to a FIN or ORG doesn't seem like a better trade off. tl;dr: Fast start, might have been better in the hands of another player, complained about map, my traits suck in the mid to late game. I think I hit all the requirements.
Here's a question: Magically given this empire right now, would you prefer ToW Toku, RtR Toku, or BtS Toku at this point in the game?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
I would lean ToW Toku, but I'm not sure that would be correct versus RtR Toku without doing a more detailed breakdown. I'll have some time tomorrow morning to count tiles and get a figure for the maintenance reductions.
I have about 23 cities. Generally see it as: ToW: ~+1-3 food per city, ~+0-2 base hammers per city, RtR: 25% maintenance reduction per city, in the era of Courthouses, this might be worth 2-4 gpt per city, depending on distance; no value from fast granary or walls with developed empire; value of AGR and PRO promos have marginal value, but would make a military option through gawdzak more of a thing BtS: promos alone don't come close I'm not a wonk, but I believe that someone has some relative comparisons the gold value of 1f or 1h. Essentially, I am receiving something like 1.5f and 1h for 3gpt in each city, on average. Additional value in an extra base hammer from PRO which causes a city to exceed the threshold for a forge/OR bonus.
Currently getting +40 food from Agri and +28 hammer from Prod from 26 cities. Hammers went up because of workshops now boosted by chemistry. Maintenance savings from RtR Agg about 40gpt.
Paying 1.5g for 1.5f and 1h on average per city.
What in the wide world of sports is going on that Seven has lifted seven cities off of GJ in two turns?
Dogpiled? Dogpiled. But left the back cities under-garrisoned?
Seven's unending march leads me to believe that this isn't quite over (save me). Things still the same in Peace Loving India. Rest of world remains a powder keg. This is a thing. Like a middle child crying for attention from Mom. I really like this Moai city.
Won Sistine. It's been so long since I've built it in any game, I didn't realize that the Sistine bonus apparently receives the doubling bonus for buildings over 1000 years old. I don't recall that at all. Not that it matters, I'm liable to lose by space before I clear 48000 more culture in 3 cities.
I take this as a sign of everlasting peace and harmony between the Indian and Roman people. Perhaps not so much for the Germans and the Romans. Or the Egyptians, for that matter. Gawdzak moved a significant portion of this 2-move stack this way. He just fired a golden age, so I imagine he will use it to clear Rifling for Cav and then Astro to defend his coasts, then steamroll retep with Cav. He could do it now with his Cuirs and Knights, that's a pretty light city. Since Gawdzak backed off of Astro for the time being, clearing Econ->Corporations(extra TRs are not insignificant) before a run to SM->Communism for the eventual mass civic switch in next GA to Rep-FS-Caste-SP-Pacifism. I will probably switch back to Slavery after the GA.
When do you intend to turn off science?
