How long are you going to keep my man Billy down? I think he's got a bright future here at RB if he can keep himself clean.

I debated moving the scout just one tile to be sure I could live but decided that I can't live like that. YOLO. Then I waffled between the plains tile NE of wheat which had only one possible tile for a bear to attack from and certain death for Kirby vs. the forest hill with three possible tiles for the bear to be hanging out on but maybe a chance for Kirby to live. So the higher probability of confrontation and survivability is happening. I still probably should have just moved the single tile as it would be very helpful to have this scout stay alive for fogbusting duty.
Fish in the south. So this is now a very food rich city. Too bad none of it can be shared away. If the highlighted fish was moved one tile to the east then the southern region becomes much more attractive. Here is an early candidate for National Epic.

Looks like this map maker can be a right bastard, letting you choose a map setup process that allows you to shoot yourself in the foot.

Well, can't say I agree with the YOLO strategy, especially since you knew there was a bear in the area. But this is a turn by turn succession game so collaboration isn't necessary.
Yeah that fish is nice, but probably in the least useful place possible. Still much better than it not being there. And now we'll have to scout that island visible to the southwest. Probably after we build another warrior to replace Kirby when he probably dies.
Not taking the Krill bait. There's already enough to protest in the world today.
I guess warrior moves back to the capital then explores north as far as we dare, at least until slavery for emergency defensive whips becomes possible.

Well, Kirby took the L during Auburn week, but I'd rather have the loss on a Friday than a Saturday so...looks like Tigers are back on the menu boys! Kirby has been sacked for the time being, and it looks like he didn't put up much of a fight. Let's hope the fellas have a little more fight tomorrow. I guess when you lose, don't lose the lesson.
EXP civ pumping #1 food into a worker, as is tradition. Warrior is nearly back to the capital, I'll move it north in a few turns.
Other thoughts: Barb warriors will start appearing on T25. They'll start entering borders as soon as someone gets a third city out (assuming everyone else already has a second city: barbs appear at 2n +1 where n is player cities). This could be as soon as T35, or perhaps earlier. I note T35 because that is when I have our third city founding based on the early micro plan. Barb cities will appear as soon as T30.
Once we have finished scouting our island/continent we will be able to determine the total carrying capacity for barbarians. Or we can hopefully just spawnbust the entire thing. We will only need 3 warriors to spawnbust what we have scouted so far once we have the second city up.

Well damn, that's an unforced error. Kind of like repeatedly turning the ball over and getting stomped my Missouri.

Yeah. Sorry about that. No way we take a loss on Saturday now, right?
Have you had a chance to sim? Any thoughts about the planned opening or are you just going to go with what I came up with?

No, I haven't had time to sim and you know that really isn't my thing. I'll try to get a dot map in soon though.

I'm going to be out of town tonight until late tomorrow, are you able to play the turn if it rolls tonight or tomorrow? I'm not planning on bringing any laptops to the hotel unless it's necessary.
Regards from section 49, row 73 tomorrow at noon. Go Gata!

I'm really my own worst enemy in this game. I must have disabled notifications at some point because I didn't notice that the build queue reverted back to the barracks last turn. So, instead of dumping the overflow from the worker directly into a settler it went into the barracks and we have useless food in the box too. This is going to delay the settler at least one turn, possibly two. Sorry.
The good news is that we have bronze on the river at our second city. I'll post pics tomorrow maybe.
