Took a bit of time.

I played, semi-quickly but needed to get it out and ready.

I think we annihilate babylon with rifles, so continued with grocer.
National Epic is nearing completion in capital, after that I’ll run a lot of prophets to hopefully get a great one – for Hindu shrine. Grocer and bank in capital will help with teching.

Reason for rifles is we can draft them, cannon needing to be built, and capital is only city that really can build stuff. It has a bit of stuff to finish up as well.

Turn 2 – Hammurabi and Pacal make peace. Damn. Guilds in.

Turn 6 – Fire off golden age as national epic is built. GP in 9 turns, cross fingers for prophet. Revolt into Bureau and Org. Rel, Next player decide if we revolt back as golden age ends, or continue in those civics and rebuild some, eating a turn of anarchy when we are ready to draft some rifles.

Also possible to just save gold, and upgrade our muskets to rifles, as we don’t really have too much manpower to draft anyway.

T9: Isabella declared on Auguestus Caesar. Good for you. Glad to have him preoccupied.

And that’s that. Cities growing, painfully slow, some completed catapults which I shipped over. We’re teching well. Keep a lookout on selling techs for cash so we keep our science high. Recommend rifle-war and absorb Hammy…only question is if we should raze some cities and resettle to grab resources like happy, or just keep ‘em, whip ‘em and gradually take over the world. Hammy capital should have some nice wonders in it.

About capital, should probably have started bank rather than grocer, but after we (hopefully) grow our Great Priest, we can assign citizens to work hammers in capital and get a bank out quickly after that.

Dhalphir, you're ON.

Forces. He has some spread out in his cities, should still be easy conquest. However I again think we get rifles first so we keep our losses low. Pay for upgrades should only be a turn or two of gold + trading techs to AIs.

Next cannon so we can kill whoever we want after. Thank Bog we got the iron

Awesome, I'll take this later today when I have a few hours to absorb everything in the game.

Oookay, and we're off!

First things up - some bitch stole paper. Son of a bitch. I was going to sell that.

Speaking of selling techs, I kept an eye on that, but the only people who wanted to buy techs were either Isabella-Of-The-No-Moneyz, who wanted Philosophy and Paper, and everybody else wanted Liberalism/Gunpowder/Nationalism, which are not worth the ~150 gold everybody had to trade.

Pacal wanted Hereditary Rule. No thanks, Paco Bell.

Medina finished Moai. I put it on a forge.

We got asked to turn over one of our cities to the original owner. No thanks. I defy you! I assume that the unhappy faces in some cities in the west are due to previously refusing this resolution? Predictably, the next turn, it would have passed if we hadn't defied it.

Great Prophet born in Mecca, I build the Hindu Shrine, taking us up a science level to 70% sustainable. I take the four citizens off the priest duties and put them in labourer clothes to work some hammers for that Grocer and the followup Bank.

Printing Press comes in. It's odd, getting a tech that is SO AWESOME normally, yet TOTALLY useless for us. Nice of us to research it for the AIs to give THEM a bonus for researching it though. How nice are we. Why do we need to know how to make printing presses for rifles again?

And that's it.

Demographics

and Charlemagne declared on Paco.

Nothing really happened, just wrapped up a couple of things which I guess you guys were working on, like the great prophet. Also feried a couple catapults over to the future front with Hammy. We lost graphs on Hammy, I only noticed in the last turn.

For the next person - we have one more turn of the Golden Age if you want to revolt back to Nationhood. I wouldn't, I think it's better to stay as we are, as we don't really have enough population to be drafting many rifles, but I'll leave it up to you.

Good turnset there.

I agree about no revolt to nationhood. I think we get rifling, then gather cash and upgrade out muskets to rifles. At least some of them. That should be enough to finish hammy cheaply. For whoever takes next set, I'd advice against spending too many catapults, apart from bombarding defense. We are close to cannon, can buy gold to have them upgraded too.

Also good you defied the resolution - need that city as staging area so we can take over hammy quickly. Also need to gain control of the Apo-thing too. Coincides with 'destroy hammy' - quest, fortunately.

And good thing about the great prophet too, finally.

Commodore, you up for getting rifles and stomping Hammurabi a bit?

Might recruit another from general civ-forum as well, think we have a few sets to go still.

so who is next?

commodore is next. i'm still paying attention wink.

btw, we are spiritual, so the golden age is irrelevant for revolt purposes. so yes, better to wait until we will actually be drafting to revolt to nationalism again smile

we probably should be switching between nationalism and buro frequently for draft - then let unhappy wear off, cycles. Might as well take advantage of the SPI trait smile. especially if you are planning on cash upgrading.
