Actually you're probably right. That is gonna be too much to come up with on my own. 

You guys chose a picking system and I can roll a torus map and lightly edit or make something. It will be a cylinder though. Cannot be flat this time.

I see that we're in good hands. My tolerance for mapmaker shenanigans extends up to barbarian submarines and custom Python events. In terms of other settings, I liked quick speed, no barbarians, and the overall lushness, and I wasn't a huge fan of flat world wrap.

Barbarian ICBMs?  

Would love to do it but might be impractical unless there were more lurker input. There would be holes without more heads.

But I would be up for whatever. Coming up with something like in 39 would interest me enough to try it, I would also happily make another map with some quirkiness re barbs/tiles/starts elements, or just make a standard map. I will let you guys decide amongst yourselves.

I'd prefer a more standard picking system rather then the pbem39 one. My limit for map quirks is preplaced or randomly scattered improvements (torusland has that feature right?). Unusual tiles (like hill wheat or something) is fine with me.

If we're doing a lightly edited torusland, I'd be fine with getting the starting screenshot and a choice between 3-4 randomly rolled leader/civs. Another thought - while I liked being able to read the other game's threads after 74A finished, it would've been fun to engage more from the start (and my own thread was real quiet at times). How much more effort would it be to roll a second map, and do you guys value the random control trial aspect more, or the wider lurker pool more?

If we do go with random rolls, are they going to be pruned for balance, or would we have to use one of the balance mods? Or would we just play the hand we're dealt?

I liked the idea that this was BTS with controlled settings to make it balanced instead of RtR like we use so often.
