Now I'm panicking over what I think is a joke. 30 * 2 = 60 60* .25 = 15 60 + 15 + 15 = 90 I think you were talking about the notation used earlier, right? Or do I misunderstand the mechanics? Honestly, of course it does. I think every time I've got the 90 hammers in the past, it's because I'm industrious with a doubler. What's even more embarrassing is that I had this half reflected in the math above....
Anyway, now that I've thoroughly embarrassed myself with my inability to do back of the napkin math, let's adjust the plan:
Chop = 5*75 = 375 hammers Whip overflow = x * 2.5 Hammers per turn = 10 * 2.5 = 25 400/450 = 50 hammers left. 50/2.5 = 20 So, on turn 141, I'll put at least 400 hammers into MoM. That's 50 hammers short -- so if I get 20h of overflow, I should be able to 1T the Mausoleum.
T138
Oliver Cromwell is born in a distant land. Someone on the other continent is warring. I’ve eliminate 1 and there are either two in a bitter war or — better — three Upon seeing the stack in Hangzhou, I’ve decided that horse archery would be a good idea. Screenshot didn’t take but there were at least 10 catapults. That’s the majority of his offensive force. Overall, my cities are growing at a rapid clip. So much so that I’m running out of improved tiles. Which means, as Mardoc implied earlier, I need to improve my worker management. Since I have 21 workers for 16 cities. Mai cities T139 I remove the artist from Khursan. That’s about it. Mai cities #2 I have a 3 pop whip incoming at Thebes next turn. It has 16/120 hammers and +11 next turn for 27/120. I'll get 7 hammers (will keep the iron and the cows for sure) on T140 for 34/120 with a 3 pop whip. I'm not going to embarrass myself by working out the math but I think I'll have 20 overflow. Well, ideally you'd have done this 20 turns ago, worker micro can't turn on a dime. And it might not be entirely your fault, anyway - Egypt looked criminally underdeveloped. Some alternate ideas for buying time to deal with the shortfall: 1. Whip away your population into useful things - you're in Caste so that's not immediately useful, but it's something to keep in mind. 2. Run specialists. Sometimes a scientist into a golden age or a scientist into a big bulb is better than any of your available tiles. It's unlikely for GPP to go to waste this early in the game, even if you can't redeem them immediately 3. Swap tiles between cities. Sometimes it's possible to have a core city work a weaker tile, so it can give a strong tile to its neighbor, which in turn can get a strong tile to a new city instead of making the new city work an unimproved forest. 4. Combine 2 and 3. You're in Caste. Lots of your cities could run specialists to save tiles, and not necessarily the same city that needs the worker labor.

somehow, I managed to not save the game after T137. So let’s replay a little…
T140 The bloodletting begins. Before: After: T141 Mecca: starts a catapult wealth. we’ll regrow and then start a settler that can go into the galley from Damascus. Medina: monastery Damascus: Galley Najran: Monastery Basra, whips the forge. Thebes starts MoM. Thebes finishes MoM. Why are we starting a Galley? That’s why we are starting a galley. That is going to be my Moai spot. I feel really gratified to have successfully completed MoM and in 1T. This would probably be too late in a MP game but it is nice to have it in this one. Potential goals: Hanging Gardens? Settle everything Tech optics to see what my competition is like Currassier and go stomp Qin Any other things you'd like to see me attempt?
Congratulations on MoM, nicely planned.
How long will moai take to build there? And how long before you get Cuirs?
