and a classic response! I like the part about the financial aid and the reference to flying ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) .
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Nice, Dreylin.
Unfortunately they take longer to write up than to play a turn.
At least for me.
Maybe I should try that ethanol thingy Dreylin II. is so fond of for inspiration?

Took me most of the day to get mine done, but at least it gave me something to think about while I was raking leaves, depositing and collecting Cats from the Vet, and vacuuming the whole house....

When I first read this, I thought it was a reference to catapults (in standard Civ shorthand), so... well... interesting mental image there.

For years beyond count, the peace loving people of India have looked out over their beloved Lake Denial, gazing at the lands beyond. Rumours of plentiful land abounding with riches only available in other lands have been passed down through the ages.
The intrepid Indian worker was sure that a way to this valley could be found through the high mountain ranges of Greece. After many fruitless diplomatic exchanges with Greece trying to convince them to let the Indian worker attempt to locate this path, India admitted that Greece was never going to willingly help India fulfill its birth right and place a settlement in this valley.
Recently, Dreylin II of the Ottoman Empire, a Long and True Friend India shared his dreams of flying with Gand_Hi of the Indian Kingdom.
And thus the Indian worker started on building a series of ramps. Such a contraption that the world has never seen before. Three brave units accepted the challenge of this one way journey. Today, the Kingdom of India is proud to announce that these three units have succeeded. They speed down one side of the ramp in their specially modified chariot, up the other side and sailed through the air to land in ... Shangri-La.
Quote:Technical Details
I gifted a worker, settler and chariot to Dreylin. He ran them over to near Founders Folly. I closed borders teleporting them to the valley. Offered Open Borders and he gifted the units back to me so that I could found the city.
Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. In the book, "Shangri-La" is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia â a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. In the novel Lost Horizon, the people who live at Shangri-La are almost immortal, living years beyond the normal lifespan and only very slowly aging in appearance. The word also evokes the imagery of exoticism of the Orient. In the ancient Tibetan scriptures, existence of 7 such places are mentioned as Nghe-Beyul Khimpalung. One of such places is mentioned to be situated somewhere in the Makalu-Barun region.

Cheezy, cheezy.
What was the problem?
It's not a fresh water lake iirc?
And I saw a Fishing Boat in that sea, right?

As I understand it, the lake is too small. It will not allow a city to build a galley or other boats apart from the work boat.
