Ok! Looking forward to another dotmap. Going to scout that northern site a bit more.
Writing is done, onto Sailing. Settler done in Greenland, onto a worker (2T) before another settler (whip) and then a library.
2 granaries finish next turn. Whipped the one in Vinland.

Working on workers/settlers and a WB now.
Sailing in in 5T, but that will be delayed by the founding of Beaverpass next turn.

Wow, that went well. Beaverpass founded and sailing still due in 4T.
Working on 3 settlers to get us to 8 cities soon.
2 will go by land, the first one east of Greenland to seal with Plako, the second will move slowly past the mountain range and settle the river there. The third one will go on a Galley and move towards the pigs/fish/gems site. There will be WB already there to hook up the fish once founded.
After the settlers we'll build some more workers.

I took a somewhat longer look at the turn and a little bit of city MM. We definitely need more workers. Also, I think after this round of settlers, we'll need to just take the production hit and focus on working cottages so we can get them up to useful tiles, even if it means the next batch of settlers come out slower. If we can't start working some commerce tiles, its not going to matter how fast we can build stuff, because we'll be building Axes while everyone else is building Rifles.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Don't worry to much yet. We have great NAP's. Once the settler are whipped, the cities can grow back building Libraries while working cottages. That speeds up their growth and lets the cottages mature.
The reason our score looks so bad is that we haven't had any border pops yet...

I'm not worried per se, I just want to see us teching faster.
By the by, do we have any idea what's up with the mackoti/luddite war? Not that it really matters, other side of the world and all, but I am curious. I get the impression it was somewhat of a surprise attack, if the double-move rules had to be invoked. I'm going to send a short mail to each participant and LP, since he seems most likely to know more, given his position.
And I'm definitely not concerned with score. Mostly I'm concerned that plako has like 8 cities. But we're working on rectifying that. As I said in the last post, we should really take advantage of our NAPs and completely ignore military for a while, we shouldn't build much other than Settlers/Workers/Granaries and Libraries, except for appropriate ships to move them around and a couple Trading Posts here and there for maneuverability. We should also aim to settle that 2nd copper site near Locke soon, just so we have flexibility and so he doesn't change his mind down the road.

Sounds like a good plan. I just like to keep some military around, just in case.
I suggest we settle our east to plako soon, then the city that grabs gems, third the city on the other side of the peaks and fourth the extra copper near Locke.

Gaspar, can you please take a look and decide about whipping Greenland? Don't know if it is the correct thing to do...

I suppose that I would. We could regrow on the cottages and the extra hammers will get us closer to a library.

Okay, Library afterwards.
Sailing will be done next turn. Where do we go next? IW?
