Heh heh, thanks! Latest news: Drama in, artist received, gold resource about to be pillaged by barbarian Drown (got a worker crew ready to replace it)
Oh yeah, and I chatted with Iskender and seem to have convinced him to let me grab Gibbon

Don't say I did not warn you if everything burns down in flame of glory. And if your plan works, well, then conveniently ignore my post please.
Hey, at least I will have the honour of ded-lurking what will be the most epic thread in this PBEM :neenernee
Looking at the post I am guessing it will take about 25 turns for you to get all the tools required for execution of this task? (not sure how much exp your Gibbon will start out with)

Barb Drown indeed pillaged my gold tile, and then happily succumbed to three puppets followed by a (wounded) shock warrior.
I also lost a worker I sent into an unowned jungle tile to pre-chop. Apparently eaten by a "Barbarian Giant Spider". Who knows if it actually was one :P I sent a floating eye over to try to find it, but I didn't see anything in the area where the attack occurred. Perhaps it was player-owned and then deleted? Who knows. My new city (to be founded next turn) will be behind in terrain development, but I can resolve that soon enough.
Well, that's all great & boring, but time to get to the good stuff:
Before
After
[Apologies, I forgot to take a "before" shot of the demographics. They hadn't changed much since I last posted them a few days ago.]
Writing arrives at the end of next turn, then it's off to Trade and Deception.
Here's the latest spy intel on the Clan:
The presence of only a single Son leads me to believe that this is a defensive garrison, but I'm mindful that the very large number of warriors may be there to cut through any spam shield I attempt to create. Coombe has only two adepts defending at the moment, but another finishes next turn, and Jubilee just finished a third I'm going to send over, and will complete a fifth in 2 turns.
Stones city will be built next turn. Hexam's settler is for an island with a mana node, gems, and dye to my east. Looks like there's space to build at least two cities there.

Floating eyes and hawks can't see spiders. You have to send a recon unit to the area if you want to find it.

This is the most fun plan I have seen inawhile! Time seems to be the only thing against your hero succeeding, so will you be founding any "lost" hard to find cities on islands to ensure your long term survival while recruiting your Sons?

I've got two cities planned for the reasonably-large island to my East which should be difficult to Tredje to take if I am overrun. I can also stick one on the small island just west of Coombe, but that's pretty close to Clan-Land.
I'll be keeping Mulcarn's Folly, so if I'm in the situation where I've got Gibbon doing his thing but my main empire is lost, I could use it as my "secret base" Losing my empire will murder my tech rate though obviously, so my plan kind of relies on not getting stomped

Haha, you even return as a saviour of your people after shattering the dark lord's heart of power.

Popped the final coastal shipwreck, and got a chest:
Literally across the world Might just delete it to save maintenance- I can't even do much spying with it, since I doubt anyone is going to be sailing those waters any time soon.
Also founded my eighth city, and final mainland town:
Depending if Tredje attacks & how the war goes, I might not be holding this town very long. I need it for the Stones, though.
Speaking of Tredje, all 4 of his Sons are now visible, and it looks like he's moving them & more warriors into his capital. Prospects for peace are... dim. This is going to be close, honestly. Getting Death Mana from Serdoa will be critical, for skeleton spam. Deception arrives in 8 turns, it would be great if Tredje backed off as soon as he saw Gibbon arrive, due to Earth Elementals being able to block his fire ones, but I sort of doubt it. And our NAP is up in only four turns.
A couple issues have appeared with my Sons plan, too. First, if I do lose cities vs. Tredje, I'm going to start losing Earth nodes. Not much I can do about that, though. Second, Acheron's Sons are being surprisingly intelligent & spamming fire elementals along his coastline, making it difficult to find a place where I can unload puppets to attack him directly. I have a workboat observing Mulcarn's Folly now, to see if he ever leaves any gaps in his defense.

Hey Dave-
Things aren't looking good for my computer right now. Going to have the University tech people take another look at it tomorrow, but odds are I'll have to purchase a new hard drive, which will take a while to arrive & install. If that's indeed the case, will you be able to play the turns until I get access back? Password is darkd23. I have access to the internet still via university computers, so I can provide "guidance" or whatever still. I'll let you know tomorrow what the situation is.
